I am using a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC and have recently noticed my LED has stopped working around the outisde of the mouse pad.The mouse pad works fine and can use all the gestures etc but like the glow on around the pad...
You can disable the pad by double clicking on the little button on the left hand corner and the amber led turns on... but the white one does not glow when it is in use?
My laptop is HP 15-r077TX. My mousepad is very loose and making an annoying sound when I touch it with little pressure . It is a hardware failure >My notebook is under warranty

Initially I didn't have any problems with it but now my mousepad has begun to start staying in a vertical line and not allowing me to scroll side to side. I gotta believe that its from this tear, the tear is like the surface in this spot has begun create like a slight lower in a spot.

Get error 6036 in Silverlight which is Graphics device's driver certificate is invalid
Have checked graphics driver and is all up to date

Couldve sworn ive seen the option in the mousepad settings before, but cannot seem to find it now.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe mouse part of it works perfectly, as does the right clicker - but the left one is completely useless, which isn't good as that's the most important one.
I noticed this a few weeks ago that it was no longer as 'secure' as the right one, i.e. is seemed to be giving way on one side of the left clicker, and was moving about a bit in it's place. Now it's gotten progressively worse and no longer is able to click even, so it doesn't work and I have had to plug in an optical mouse to the usb port.
I lifted the little mouse clicker slot up with a knife to see what is wrong but all that seems to be the problem is that it is incredibly loose and no longer sits straight in its positioning. Underneath both clickers there is a small button attached to the mainboard and obviously the clicker needs to touch this to perform its' actions. But the left one doesn't seem to be reaching..
So basically I want to know is it likely that Acer would repair this for me? The laptop is still under warranty.
I guess the only long-term solution is an entire new mousepad, which would be expensive.
And that'd suck because 3/4 of it works perfectly and it's just this one button.
My acer loaded in xp as normal but my keypad and mousepad were unresponsive so i did a clean install with xp(not acer recovery) that ran through to when you do user input and froze again now i have a new hd and the same thing is happening except when i load into safe mode then everything is fine,
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust got my new XPS 13; wiped it and reinstalled Windows and all of the drivers, etc. My mousepad, though, doesn't register the motions (pinch, scroll, etc). They worked before I reformatted. I thought that I had installed all of the drivers, but must have missed something.
Any tips on how I can check whether this feature is enabled on my computer or if I have to download any other files?

Is there a problem with the computer? I'll shut down and it will work fine for an hour, then quit working, or move very slowly. I changed all the settings for the mouse pad and still doesn't work correctly.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThe right click button does not work on the mouse pad, as well as on a usb mouse. I have used Acer factory recover disks to restore it to out of the box condition. Same issue. If you use control panel to switch buttons then the only thing that happens is the cursor moves no click at all. Also after a period of time letting the computer warm up suddenly the cursor is working but even the left click will not function it will highlight the icon but not allow you to click it. I am wondering is the only solution to replace the motherboard since it appears to be a heat aggravated problem. And before I forget, yes I have replaced the drivers a couple of times clean install as well

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy two left USB 3.0 ports aren't working. In the Device Manager it doesn't find the drivers for them. I've searched the forums, tried other drivers, tried the drivers for the latest Renesas USB 3.0 Host Controller drivers and those don't work either. None of the drivers I download seem to work including the ones listed for my laptop on the HP.com support website.
I've also tried: USB3.0_allOS_2.1.28.1_PV.exe with no luck.
Rest of keyboard working fine, No spills, cleaning doesn't work. HP Pavilion dv7 no longer in warranty.

problems:
no wireless, hard time starting up, sound crashes, system freezes when updating things(can only use for 30min before it crashes), can only start it when it's cooled off, usually just restarts itself when the hd light doesn't come on(you know[power][charging][reading hd])
The no wireless and sound crashes were my first problems, then the system melted down. I bought it used off craigslist Christmas 2008 and any warranty time was long gone when it crashed Halloween 2009.
my HP Pavilion DV6-6C35DX Wireles has just had its Hard drive replaced and after installing windows, updating my drivers I noticed that me switch on my F12 key will not toggle away from the orange light and my network controller driver won't update. Or there is no update which it can find when doing a quick search. When looking at my Network controller properties under the Device instance path I get my VEN # and DEV # but neither have been useful in my search across the web. restore my computer's wireless.

My usb ports on my HP Pavilion dv7-6b56nr Entertainment Notebook PC are not working. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Product # A1T84UA. No matter what I do I can't get them to work. When I go into device manager it is showing a conflict. When I try to update the drivers it says they are up to date. I even tried to do a full system recovery and if it wasn't for an image I saved my computer would have become a paper weight.

Windows device manager can find the DVD drive but shows a yellow error mark. I selected "Update driver software" and then "Search automatically for updated driver software" . Then the name changed from "Mitsumi CD drive" to "hp DVD A DU8A5SH". And still not working. I installed the firmware update from [URL] ... But a command prompt shows "Error: no mitsumi drives found." What can I do now ?
