HP ProBook 6570b windows 7 pro 64 bit..I cannot delete a picture I down loaded from a web site. I get a message saying " you need permission to delete this". I am the only user on my system so who do I have to get permission from.

The laptop I have is a Probook 6570bThe OS is Windows 7 Pro x86The softpaq is: SP59202 (version 4.6.10.1)Â
The previous versions of this allowed for a silent, no-restart installation but the latest one is different.

I can get it to install by extracting the Setup.exe from the SP59202 executable and running it with the switches: /S /v/qn but it always restarts the PC at the end.

And accidentally I damaged some files of operating system - so now I can't to refresh or to retrieve my operating system... I tryed sfc/scannow and other things but all was no use.I have a possibility to upgrade my Notebook up to Windows 8.1 and I hope this will solve all my troubles with an operating system I have now. View 3 Replies View RelatedI noticed that one of the best cooling pads here, the ACRyan cooling pad, ain't doing must good for this heat monster, so, I decided to DIY my own cooling device. Note that when I'm at home, I'm outputting my laptop to dual monitors, 20" and 27" Dell monitors, and connecting separate keyboard and mouse to it, speakers as well. AKA a desktop.
Materials:
1. 2 packets ice cream sticks
2. Good pair of scissors
3. White glue (hardens to clear)
4. 6V, 500mA USB Fan
Disclaimer: I'm not planning to type on the laptop while using this device. Due to the hot nature of this laptop, it's meant for cooling it while playing back 1080p movies, and games, while outputting to the monitors.

I've got an XPS M1210 with NVidia GeForce 7400 and since last week all the pictures or videos appear blurry with artifacts, … somehow like watercolor paints or with burn efect pictures.
Other observation: on the Windows locking blue screen (see below picture), instead the clear light blue on upper left corner, I can see something like a sun with round circles around effect .....
I am a technical support executive for HP Notebooks.
Customer is saying that he has transfered some photos to the "Jacob (adminstrator )" folder yester day. And he identified that the Jacob folder has disappeared.
I think recovering the folder using any recovery software will be the option.
I cant figure out how to get my display picture to work, and also audio and video

I have set up a PIN but never get the option to use it, I am only ever challenged for my Microsoft Account and password at login
I also set up a picture password but get exactly the same behaviour, i.e.I am ALWAYS challenged for my Microsoft account and password.
I have used this login feature before on my previous Surface 2 but the Venue 11 Pro (fully updated) just will not behave as expected.
I turn on my laptop and there is no picture, the power light comes on, but no picture, it is black screen and then it is beeping continuously. This is all it will do. The battery started not keeping a charge for very long lately, but I am not sure this is what is causing the black screen and beeping. I have tried to remove it for a while and put it back in to no avail.
View 1 Replies View Relatedthis all started when I first purchased my laptop (Aspire V3-572G-54S6, Windows 8.1) when it was on sale for a great price in mid-August. I had heard great things about Acer, loved the specs and look, and was excited to get it. It arrived a few days later, took it out of the box and with the first start up my display was messed up. About 1/4 up the screen tear a little and the top of the screen was being duplicated at the bottom........never had that happen before so I got in touch with Acer support chat, I updated video drivers, rebooted, did a complete power drain, etc. The problem persisted so they had me send it in for servicing. I got it back from servicing just about 2 weeks ago, and it was fixed! Or at least it was until this past Wednesday when the problem returned. Now the problem only occurs when I've had it on for 30minutes to 1 hour, as it is fine on start up. The service log/sheet I got back with it said all they did was software updates, updated BIOS, and nothing hardware related.

My current problem is that when switching from the mobile power-saving GPU I lose the backlight on my screen when the high performance GPU kicks in. The HDMI output is displaying video when in High Performance, but the screen of the laptop will only show a picture with no backlight, and can only be seen by shining a light on the screen.Â
Just started happening the last few days, I've tried a system restore (didn't allow it), tried uninstalling all of the AMD drivers and software then reinstalling with their updated drivers, as well as the same process but with the HP drivers that came with the laptop, still the same result.Is it possible for the high performance GPU to be failing some how or is this a software issue?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently uninstalled VM fusion. Probably not correctly. Being used to a mac all i did was drag and drop the icon to the trash. Then i realized it still was somewhat on the computer. So i manually deleted it folder off the harddrive. However there are 4 files it cant delete because they are in use , and when i right click on a rar file it still says "extract with winrar - windows xp pro 2- vm ware fusion" It's getting annoying.

Works fine for video, preview of still photos perfect.Take the picture and as the photos "swooshes" to the left, you see that the saved image has a stripe about a third of the way up. For some reason, the saved image is copying the bottom 5% or so of the image, and "pasting" that slightly offset into the bottom third of the photo.

Taking a PrtSc copies a perfct image into the clipboard, (includes camera icons).

Changing image aspect, disablig Camera Plus does nothing.

At least three other people posted on a Microsoft page about this, seems to have arrived with 8.1 upgrade.
