Acer Aspire E5-571P-55TL :: Green Screen Freeze When Loading Apps On Setup
Jan 7, 2015
Got a new E5-571P-55TL yesterday and going through the setup process I got all the way to where it says downloading apps. It displayed a message that it was processing or I forget what it said exactly. Then the words went away after about an hour. I remember reading that it said it may do this, may have a blank screen and not to turn it off. I left it on all night and still have just a green screen this morning. I know my wifi is not the fastest and figured that's what it was. Came to work today and left it sitting on the counter, still on.

I bought the Acer Aspire e5-571-55TL, which has no optical drive. It just has a plastic blank in it. I want to install an SSD in the optical drive, through the use of a hard drive caddy. I can't find any information on compatible products, or where to find the proper part.  Would either of these work?  This one says it's for the Acer Aspire E5-572G E1-572 Series:Â
I just recieved my Aspire 8930. But Im having a problem.
While filling out the information for my operating system, it randomly decided to BSOD on me, loading the dump information then going to a black screen. Now when I turn it off and try to turn it on, the hard drive doesnt click on or even blink the little display, neither does the screen flicker on.
When i put a DVD in no picture shows up- there is still audio and i can still click options but i cannot see what i am selecting. I also tried playing a youtube video which showed up as a green screen. Ive looked around and it says i need to update my graphics driver. I already looked on the acer website for a graphics driver download and i cannot find one.
My Acer Aspire One 10.1 notebook wont boot. All I get is a black screen with microsoft corporation written under neith a rectangle, where a green bar sliding from left to right should appear, but doesn't. What do I need to do? Â I have reinstalled win7 on my c drive using another computer. The hard drive booted on that computer. Which leads me to believe some thing is missing.
I chose the colour orange while going through the personlization part of the setup after turning on my laptop for the first time. Is there anyway I can change it to red?
screen froze - could not find mouse pointer. turned latop off and when restarted it said need to repair okayed but said it could not repair. Did refresh, it said to uptdate, 95 updates! said configuring then failed to configure, says confiruring and again failed - keeps repeating itself. took battery our pressed power 20 seconds - restarted. keeps happening. managed to get to repair again but would not - refresh in in progress AGAIN!
Today I bought a new Acer Aspire E5, and in the store the dependent tell me that RAM is upgradable through an additional empty memory slot available inside the laptop. But, how I can upgrade it? I mean, in the back of the laptop I don't see any compartment or cover to remove for access the RAM slots... So, how I can access to the additional empty slot and upgrade the RAM? Â The lap is an Acer Aspire E5-571P-52QK
I have an Aspire v5-571P Touch, running Windows 8.1, and for two years it's been awesome! But recently, it's stopped displaying low battery alerts. I've tried going to the Control Panel, Power Options, and using a different power plan. I've made sure that all of the power plans' advanced power settings are as follows (after a suggestion of upping the low battery level from 10% to 20%): Â Critical battery action: On battery: Hibernate Low battery level: On battery: 20%Critical battery level: On battery: 5%Low battery notification: On battery: On Low battery action: On battery: Do nothing (Sleep, Hibernate, and Shut Down are the other options)Reserve battery level: On battery: 9%
I've read an article that suggested updating the BIOS, though there's also a red warning on that page of the Acer website; "Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer Product. Please proceed with caution." So I was apprehensive. Any way before I attempt updating the BIOS.
I am considering buying the Aspire E5-571P-52QK. Images I have seen show either a DVD drive or a blank cover. It would make sense that these images are not of the actual product, or that you should be able to add an optical drive. However, I do not know that. Nothing, anywhere, shows what the truth on this model is. Â can I add a drive to this? Yeah, I can get an external, but I want an internal.
The pop-up window reads: Â "WARNING! Please boot this Recovery Disc using legacy BIOS mode" Please boot this Recovery Disc using legacy BIOS mode" Â when I switch it to Legacy BIOS, then the pop-up window reads: Â "WARNING! Please boot this Recovery Disc using UEFI BIOS mode" Â I have tried secure boot enabled and disabled.
What do I do to restore my computer?  I don't have Recovery on my PC.  It was lost with the WIN8.1 upgrade.  Acer Aspire v5-571p
Flight mode won't switch off - it's greyed out and is ON.I've Googled the issue and an upgrade to the BIOS was recommended - it took me from 2.6 to 2.9 (I think) but still stuck on flight mode so no network connections to my printer etc. This is a fairly new machine. Upgraded to Windows 8.1.
I just got my Aspire V touch, so I don't understand why the Acer applications keep crashing when I try to open them. All of my other apps open fine without crashing. (Acer apps i.e.: Acer Recovery, Acer Quick Access, etc.) Why only Acer apps are crashing? I'm trying to make my recovery files. Â Also, what is AOP Framework? It always crashes when my laptop is waken up from it's sleep. Can I uninstall it?
it's been like a year when i bought my aspire 5920g and everything run fine.
It's been about one month that sometimes the computer hangs up at welcome screen or loading the taskbar( the icons are loaded but you cant press them) and the mouse pointer keeps spinning(like it's busy) and nothing happens and I cannot press anything. So i have to restart the pc manually and run a check disk, and every time the problem is solved (this is annoying). But these days the chkdsk command cannot resolve the problem. Today after welcome screen it hangs on black background and only the cursor can move. I restarted several time and it keeps freezing. So basically i cant start windows.
The USB ports on my 8735G are messed. Everything with my system is fine until I plug something into the USB. After about 30 seconds, the whole computer freezes without any hope of recovery. Only a hard restart fixes it. This happens with mice, USB drives, UDB keys, anything. I tried disabling the power management on USB (selective suspend) and it doesn't help. I've googled the crap outta this and I've tried all the possible fixes and solutions and suggestions I've found. I know the ports or hub are not defective as they will transfer data in small amounts before freezing. However, it will freeze right away (before 30 seconds) if I attempt to transfer anything bigger than 300 MB.
I'm trying to diagnose this model for a friend: Aspire 3100-1556
The screen is too dark to use. The brightness feature via the function key doesn't help. It does make an instantaneous brightness when pressing it, but it stays dark, doesn't hold more than a split second.
Windows XP IS loading; that much can be seen when looking hard enough. So this isn't an operating system issue. It's there, just can't see it well enough to use.
I have been told elsewhere that it could be the inverter, but as I am new to repairing laptops, I really need more info before asking my friend to spend money on one.
I bought two of these laptops (Acer E5-471P CI3 4GB 500GB 14 Inch Touch Laptop - Black. - [URL] .... as Christmas presents.  Both are having issues with the trackpad where it will randomly freeze or the pointer will disappear. At first my mother thought it was just being slow and freezing all the time. I had a look and found that the touch screen worked fine when the mouse froze or disappeared. Now, immediately I assumed it to be a driver issue, so I updated the trackpad driver.  I can't find any info on this and even though I bought the week before christmas ACER are saying my warrenty has run out and I don't have the time to find a scanner to scan my receipt. I am a day or two away from returning this laptop if no solution can be found.  This freezing happens ALOT, to the point my mother is using the 4 year old dusty laptop with missing keys. I assume it's something to do with the touchscreen and the trackpad interfering with one another.
I have an Acer Aspire One Netbook SNID 20206697434 with Windows 7. I bought the recovery disks because eRecovery stalls at Office 2010 but the disks do exactly the same thing - I can only open in Safe Mode. I've tried many times with the same result. Even though I bought the disks, Acer Customer Service won't let me talk to a tech because my net book is not unwarranty - mfg date is 1/14/2012.
I have an Acer Aspire 5634WLMi with 2 years. Got a problem on the monitor (15.4-inch LCD CrystalBite).
It slowly started a year ago (at that time still had warranty but underestimated the problem and now it expired). In all the black images(movies, photos) began to appear some green fluorescent dots that looks like they are living (in English I think is called flickering spots, jaggies?!) which then disappear and come back. I did not care at first because both appeared to disappear. Over time there have appeared more, followed by purple dots now. These purple dots are never in black image but sometimes they are the shadow of the black image. But in videos with very dark black only come green dots (always flickering). In all the other colors there is no problem, for example I am writing this in Word and the blue and white of this image is not green. It is however in my opinion a little blurry, I do not know. The letters are black (with a slight green Halo) but it seems that they aren’t standing still and shake a little. The most strange is that on the desktop there is a pattern of green dots on the bottom left and a purple on the upper corner that are often there but sometimes also move around. In fact there was not so long ago a time when I got a perfect image. I began to think that the laptop went to very warm, open a part, cleaned the fan and reduce the processor speed by changing the temperature of the device. After a while it disappeared. But this improvement lasted only 1 day. Then it began all over again. I have also tried to connect the computer to another monitor and had a perfect image, so it seems that it is not the graphics. On the Internet I found many of these reports that the cable that goes from the graphicscard to the monitor is damaged and that a simple substitution leads to full restoration of the notebook. Anyway before attempting to open the laptop (I've been watching some videos of how to do) like to have another opinion from someone who realizes this. I already took him ah repair but wanted 250 euro to replace the monitor with dead pixels (which I think is wrong they are not all dead, and until very squiggly and alternate location). For 250euros rather buy a new though economically not good for me. When the computer has a completely black image is all green. For example when the screensaver comes with the ball moving from one place to another.
The keyboard of my Aspire 5951G-6879 has several keys that have green colored characters - i.e. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 etc. How do I access those characters when I am typing?
I just got an acer aspire timeline 5810tz, which came with vista, so i was in the process of reformatting it to have XP, which i've done several times on my previous laptops. When i changed the bios to IDE, which is what i read was the correct setting (perhaps this is where my problem is?), i found that i could no longer boot the computer or access setup, bios or the boot menu. When i attempt to do any of these things, the computer just sits on the logo screen.
i'm getting fairly desperate at this point, having tried a large variety of solutions, key combos, removing the battery, etc.
I Recently purchased an Acer Aspire One D257 - 13473 with mfg. date 2011/07/04 pre-owned at a garage sale. it had a dead hard drive when i purchased it, which was not a huge issue, and i replaced it.  then i was severely disappointed.  I went to try and configure this computer for my own use, but turns out there's (what im assuming to be a BIOS password, since the HDD has been replaced) a password to access the F2 SETUP Menu on this machine. i was really hoping that since I've already upgraded the RAM and replaced the hard drive that i could get this machine actually functionable again.
