I m trying to install ESXi 5.0 as a VM in LATITUDE E6430 ,but it gives me the following error
No network adapters were detected.Either no network adapters are  physically connected to the system or a suitable driver could not be located.A third party driver may be required.
I have found that DELL customized image is available but only for servers (tried that too but not working)...
Weird issue... I cannot enable wireless.
The driver is current
The switch on the side is on.
In device manager all looks fine.
When I try and enable it ... it says enabling but never get enabled.
Tried dleting the driver completely and loding the current... no joy.
I'm planning to purchase a Dell Latitude E6430 in a few days time but I have a couple of things to clarify before I purchase this laptop. The question is, Dell manual correctly says this supports up to 16GB of RAM. However Dell does not provide/ship 16GB of ram with this laptop.
I would purchase aftermarket 16GB of ram to do what I want to do with this laptop. But I'm uncertain which RAM specification I should buy. Should I buy DDR3L (1.35V) or DDR3 (1.5V) SODIMM ?
This is what the Latitude E6430 manual says :

 Why for the Bios A09 and A11 is not shown for what operating systems are validated?
Attempting to install 1600x900 screen and getting wrong colors and bad resolution. I understand the cable may need replacement.

I download the Dell Diagnostic tool and ran it under the "Complete Setting" and everything back as passed.Â
I got two E6430 - USB 3 does not work with windows 8... (Installed from a new win 8 DVD)...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to be a Dell Technician too, 578260. I got a latitude e6430 given to me from the company I am currently working now Prodagio Software. I am locked out of my BIOS but manage to use the laptop using finger print. I forgot my password and with that problem I am not able to modify anything inside the BIOS. I am afraid to do a reset because I might lose the A08 upgrade.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a Latitude E6430 to replace my aging Latitude D630. I like to keep a second AC adaptor in my laptop case just for travel. When talking with the telephone sales agent at Dell, she told me the two adaptors are not compatible, yet both are PA-12, 65W, 19.5v, 3.34A. the only difference, is the old one is 2-pin and the new one is 3-pin. Is she blowing smoke at me?
I also have an off-brand "universal" audo/air/AC adaptor for the old computer that's, 90W, 19v, 2.7A that was listed as compatible with the D630. Are these all compatible with each other?
I have a problem with my Latitude E6430 i7-3720QM upgraded to Windows 8,, Bios A09, 8 core...Fan is constantly running and drying the battery out. Tem range between 60-70C. All tests from Dell webpage passed successfully. Tests from Intel Diagnostic tools passed. However, fun is always running, lap top is warm and battery goes down very quickly, in an hour. Under windows 7 it used to last much longer. I even did a clean install of Windows 8 and the problem persists

Every time I run the Client System Update tool and check for updates I get the error message "Check for updates failed"

I have a Dell Latitude E6430 laptop running windows 7 64-bit. Â When I try to use it with a docking station, the USB ports on the docking station do not work. Â When I try to use a USB mouse with it, it only works with one of the USB ports. Â When I try using my printer (HP laserjet 1320) through the USB ports, it doesn't work (it did previously with a Dell latitude E6430 running windows 7 64-bit).

View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently my hard drive started to fail. I purchased a new drive, installed a Windows 7 ISO onto a flash drive, installed it etc. I have an HP G60-237NR. I was reinstalling everything, and then I went to the drivers page for my laptop. I started installing stuff, by that time I was bored so I was going sort of from the bottom up if that order matters, I can give more details on that if I need to. I downloaded the BIOS update, since I thought "Okay, it listed it for my computer, I probably do need to update it since my laptop's like 6 years old".
Flashed the BIOS, my computer shut down, and then didn't restart like I thought it was supposed to.I turned it on and got " 104- Unsupported wireless network device detected. System halted. Remove device and restart." I tried to look up what to do, what I found said remove the network card, downgrade bios, plug it back in and you're good. Well I unplugged my network card and the two snap on wires that attached it, did all the stuff, and restarted it. I got the same error.
I meant to say I plugged my network card back in, but still got the error. In case I had gotten the snaps on wrong, I switched the snaps and double checked the card connections, but still nothing. Everything I found said that should have worked, I'm on the same BIOS version I started with but it won't recognize my network adapter.
We image all our new systems in our organizations on SCCM. I've got one that is a puzzler. I will not get an ip from the server. Instead it displays the message "PXE-E51:No DHCP or proxyDHCP offers were received." No other computer has this issue. I does not get as far as the network boot so it is not a windows deployment service issue. And it senses if the cable is disconnected, and gives you a different PXE error. I have flashed the BIOS, no sucess. I RMA'd the motherboard, and no difference. Dell won't replace the whole system since it was a replacement for another DOA. I thought it might be that little daughter card that contains the NIC connection, but cannot see that listed on the dispatch site as a seperate part.Â

It doesn't show any networks at all. However, when I take it to a Starbucks or McDonalds, I can not only find a network, but I can get on the Internet just fine !Do I have something blocking the network from being seen? Is my virus program Microsoft Essentials blocking the network for some reason?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have several Latitude E7240's on our network. They are configured with Windows 7 x64. We have been having trouble with this particular model in regards to wireless connections.
When the laptop is powered on and the user logs in, the laptop connects to the wireless network, however it is not getting an IP address from the router. It sticks at "limited connectivity", and gives itself a "169" IP. It stays that way for about 5 or so minutes then finally connects.
The WLAN drivers are already to the latest version, and to "bandaid" the issue, I have to uninstall the Wireless NIC drivers then reinstall them.
At first I was thinking it may be a router issue (Which is a Sonicwall TZ210W), but it can't be because its wireless devices of differing models have no problem connecting and getting an IP address. Also, it starts working once the drivers are reinstalled (though I'm not confident this is a permanent fix).
All the E7240's have the Dell 1506 Wireless card, and are all and originally were) on driver version 10.0.0.268, A02. Also, I have tried turned off any power management settings of the WNIC prior to the driver reinstall.
Cannot get online. I went into the device manager and found thefollowing:

Having done a lot of monitoring of my Latitude E5440 because of fan issues I spotted large CPU spikes every 9 seconds (no apps open or network traffic):
I can see it's caused by a group of "DcomLaunch" services. My old laptop with same OS, software, Anti-Virus (Avast) does not show these spikes.
Looking at similar problems reported on the net it was down to a third-party service/driver or malware but I have done a full scan and it still occurs in Safe Mode:
I have also gone through disabling as many services and drivers as possible but no luck. Seems like it must be something to do with power management?
I'm not a gamer as a 25% CPU spike every 9 seconds would be totally unacceptable.
I get an error, just says Error 15 when I try to boot using Latitude ON. Anyone else have this problem?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have seen some AC Adaptors for latitude e-series (Latitude E6500 & E6400) and they was very thin and light.
However, yesterday I received my M4400 and the AC is too big and heavy in comparation with que latitude ACs.
Reviewing the orders, I've seen that Latitude's have "450-11869 Power Cord: European 90W AC Adaptor 2 pin" whereas M4400 have "450-11970 Power Supply And Power Cord: Worldwide 130W AC Adapter with European Power Cord".
I need to get a extra power adapter for my M6400 Covet for home use. Taking the 210 watt power supply between the office and home is starting to take a toll on me (I take public transportation daily).
The 210 watt power adapter is only available with purchase of a port replicator. I could save some money an get a 130 or 90 watt power adapter, but I'm not sure what the downsides are. Does the 130 or 90 watt power adapter just take longer to charge? If the 130 or 90 watt power adapters degrade my performance, then I won't consider it.
What are other M6400 Covet owners doing for extra power supplies? For those of you who are using 130 or 90 watt power adapters, did you notice any decrease in performance?
I have a D620 Latitude. Two days ago I had it on stand-by mode and I restart it. The screen was blurry/offset with pink lines appearing in certain blueish areas. I saw also that there was a message coming out of the notification area at the bottom right saying that the virtual memory was low. To make you understand what I mean by offset, when I right the letter "I" I can see a ghosting effect with a second "I" appearing next it. So what I see is almost an "II". It is as if 50% of the pixel information are tranferred to a few pixels to the left or right.
OK so I did my search and found the DELL support [URL] .....
I checked and updated the drivers to the proposed (BIOS to A08 and NVIDIA to A10) but nothing.I then had a look at the BIOS and I could see also some distortion. I guess that means that there are hardware issues. I then run the diagnostics on the BIOS and it gave me two errors DST 1000-1046 which I guess it means that there is some sort of driver issue. I run the chdsk /f and it found no errors to fix. So am stiull trying to understand if this is a hardware or software issue. I have not yet the wire to make the connection to another display. I saw an article on the web from someone who made a change in a .inf file of NVIDIA claiming that this blurring/offset is because of missing information in the NVIDIA .inf file.
I have problems with my Dell latitude d630. I get the error 2000-0146 in the diagnostics. Â I have tried all i know, Â and replaced the HDD.
I am running in xp,  and do not have the xp cd. The Laptop is 6 years old, bought through my old school.  Thats why i dont have the cd. I have made it so now i can start the laptop, and it boot up ok as long as the Wi-Fi is turned off. If i turn it on  it takes maybe 1 minute until it crashes.  Sometimes giving me the blue screen.  When the Wi-Fi is off,  i cant run the HDD defrag or HDD scanning for error. I cant run chkdsk /f either.  I've tried to looks in bios,  But dont understand too much.
We have a user that has had a Latitude E6510 for 16 months. During this time, she has had A LOT of blue screens of death. We have tried numerous attempts to troubleshoot and fix. The Event Viewer doesn't show anything abnormal prior to the crashes.
Once I can get my hands on the laptop for a decent amount of time, I plan on running the Dell online diagnostic tool but I think we've tried that before. I am posting this in an attempt to see if any others out there have had the same problem with their E6510 crashing and have come up with a fix on your own.
I TRIED to do searches to find potential answers but the I kept getting "Error retrieving documents." no matter what I used as a search value from E6510 to Latitude to Blue Screen.
I have a Latitude E6410 that I'm having problems with. On boot up it goes to a black screen with this error message: ERROR Â "The reader is not installed on this machine. To install reader, press any key to restart your computer and run the reader installer. If the reader is installed on this pc, please check if the reader is installed on an encrypted hard drive.....Press any button to continue".

I have 4 partition of hard disk, i used partition magic 8.0 for resizing all partition, during this operation power failed although my bettary was not charged. When I again start my pc partition magic8.0 give me error 626.
Now window is running normal but my one partition is not showing, in partition magic it show PQRS format and unreadable, now I am able to reopen this partition.
