Jul 1, 2014
yesterday i open my laptop(model 6530s) and clean motherboard but after setup when i start laptop that time on top right corner showing one message MOUSE NOT DELETED and mouse pad not working any more ..Now what can i doi tryed to open motherboard battery but still same ...
another problem when i watched movie some of website laptop suddenly going off ..also when i try to do somthing on bios that time also going trun off
Inspiron 17R N7110 has no power, I was watching movie and the laptop just froze, after waiting a few minutes I performed a hard power reset, machine was restarting, abruptly shut off and has been dead since.
Tried the power reset by removing the battery and holding the power button for the static discharge ... and so on. No luck. Machine has no lights on front, it is completely dead, battery was 100% charged. Tried two charger cables, both have green lights till I plug them into the machine then green lamps die.
I think it would be the DC power connector or the motherboard... or something else that I have not thought of yet.
way to import a .AVI file into the iTunes movie Library. I tried to drag and drop it, copy and paste, and it didn't work. Would there be an easier way to make an .AVI file into a .m4v, and then import it that way?
I have also already tried turning off and on again the "turn off mouse pad" button that the computer has. And it's only sometimes when I boot up the computer it won't responed, then I have to turn it off and turn it back on again in order for it to work.
i have an HDX16t w/ bluray drive and i would usually watch blurays thru it. i would connect the laptop to my 42" 1080p LCD and watch. the first few times i did this, everything was fine. the sound and picture were going thru w/ no problems. i also just use the HP Media Center player when i watch so i can use the remote (which actually doesnt work great...not all the buttons work...but that's another story...)
now the other night, i went to put in another bluray and watch it using the HP Media Center but as it loaded the disc, i get a message saying that i "cannot play the movie in the current resolution". i was thinking this might be an HDCP issue but how can that be if it worked before? so i put in a bluray i had previously watched w/ this method and the same message popped up. i tried rebooting the laptop and also unplugging the TV to maybe "reset" the HDMI port. still got the same message when trying to play.
I have tonnes of home video clips which can't be more than 6 hours total in recording but are actually frikkin 15GB total in size.
I copied them on my HD straight from the camcorder, and now I need to make a DVD out of it. Now I realize no DVD in the world will hold 15GB, but the thing is, as I said its just 5-6 hours and its 15GB because its uncompressed.
So I need a software which'll do the dirty work for me: compress and make one DVD out of these clips.
I'd like the DVD to have the feature of being able to let me skip to different video clips etc. by clicking "previous" "next".
i have a ACER Travelmate 2482WXMi, i have done a fresh install of windows XP home, i have done a full format of the hard drive, but i have issues the touchpad will not work only in safe mode. I have installed most of the drivers through safe mode, but the mouse will only work when i connect an external mouse when it's in normal mode.
Also i do get some bad sectors on the hard drive, and it takes over 2mins to shut down the comp. I havent installed programs yet, except PC Wizard 2008. Also the laptop is not the base model with 512MB ram i have added a 1gb stick and it works fine. I am thinking maybe its the hard drive. If
I picked up a VPCZ112GX/S from the Sony Style store this evening. I've taken a metric-sh*t ton of pictures that I'll be posting over multiple posts.
I also have a video of the first-boot sequence that I'll try to upload this evening.
System specifications are HERE. First one who asks what is in it, gets smacked
I purchased this model primarily to evaluate the 128GB SSD. This configuration has two 64GB Samsung MMCRE28G drives configured in RAID0 (Stripe). I'll post a new thread on my findings this weekend, if somebody else doesn't beat me to the punch. I also have a VPCZ11FHX/XQ on order with the 512GB SSD.
I DON'T HAVE MANY COMMENTS ON THE MACHINE AS I JUST FINISHED TAKING THE PICTURES BELOW. I will say that the previous generation Z charger works with the new Z. I haven't taken the new one out of the box.
I also have a video of the first-boot sequence that I'll try to upload this evening. In addition, I did a video showing the duration from power-on to loading Windows with the RAID prompt enabled and disabled. This will go in the SSD thread.
I downloaded VLC as a movie viewer. I used to used Media Player, which I understand and was easy to make playlists. However, most times I start a downloaded movie it plays in QuickTime, which I hate. How can I make VLC my default movie player? I am using Safari.
well my signature series Z11 with everything but the kitchen sink was delivered today. A little over 6 weeks from order to delivery but I'm not complaining as it is here right now !
So, without too much further ado, here are some pics and opinion and what is supposed to be the ultimate new Vaio Z
I'm currently using an external disk as back-up with Time machine and I also put movies on it to declutter my laptop. I recently noticed when trying to share a movie with a friend that it's not detected by PCs.
Is there a way to do so without having to erase the disk?
It is an automatic drive. My computer says the bluray drive is working right. Tried right clicking and ejecting and hitting the eject button. It is an automatic slot drive. Tried windows software to find problem and it couldn't work either. It worked just 10 mins before it happened. It is a windows 8 pro OS. HL-DT-ST DVDRWBD CA10N is the drive windows calls it.
I have a Inspiron 1525. Recently I have tried to watch movies. Soon after the movies start my laptop shutdown. There was a time I could watch movies but not now. It continually shuts down within a few minutes.
I got my wife an HP DV2 for Mother's Day. She was extremely excited because she has needed a new laptop for quite some time. Anyway, we opened it and started to boot it up everything was looking good. I then happened to glance down at the mouse buttons and noticed that the left button looks as if it was pressed. There is definitely a gap when running your finger across the buttons. When pressing the right mouse button, it moves down as far as the left button sits while unpressed.
Now, I should clarify that the left button still works, it is just sitting lower than it seems like it should. I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this with their "brand new out of the box" HP DV2. My wife and I were both extremely bummed out, only because I equate it to buying a brand new car and noticing that the headlight is pressed in a little it and is uneven. Are we being too picky? To us, it seems ridiculous that a $700 laptop would have a quality issue like this.
I'm attaching a couple pictures showing the issue - in one, you can see me pressing the right button down to the level of the left unpressed button.
I'm trying to watch a video that's 1080p and it skips frames. My framerate will stay around 30ish but then every couple of minutes or so will dip down to 7. I would think my specs would be fine... any suggestions? For what it's worth, it's a matroska (.mkv) file and I am trying to run it in VLC media player.
Would I be okay using the highest battery power settings while watching a DVD? That would turn off the graphics card but I wasn't sure if DVD playing really needed it.
current MacBook unibody owners. I'm curious how good is the MacBook when watching DVDs or playing downloaded videos; such as the screen quality and battery life? Does the 1280x800 screen size seem too big?
I'm a Mac & Windows user and love both environments. Yet, I'm unsure if the MacBook will work for me.
I recently got a basic Logitech USB mouse (model UAE-96). I plugged it into my Thinkpad T60 laptop, and the mouse pointer was kind of jerky when I moved it around. But the mouse pointer moved very smoothly when I used the touchpad.
I thought the mouse might be defective, so I plugged it into my HP laptop, and the mouse pointer moved very smoothly, so it wasn't defective. Both laptops are running Windows XP Pro SP3, and are using the exact same driver version.
Then I tried downloading the latest software from Logitech, but that didn't help with my Thinkpad, the mouse pointer was still jerky.
So I thought I might try a different brand mouse. I got a Microsoft mouse, and it is also kind of jerky when I move it around on my Thinkpad.
when I use a real mouse, but it is smooth when I use the touchpad?
I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 with the WUXGA screen. I also have this adapter.
has an HD Cable box, but no HDTV. Is it possible for me to hook up my laptop to her cable box using this adapter so I can watch programming in HD? Im sure I cant because the HD signal is different, correct? If I cant use this adapter, is there another adapter that will allow me to do this?
Does anyone have any issues watching DVDs? I have a few DVDs I made from a Panasonic DVD/VCR (transferred from a VHS to DVD) and it will randomly say skipping over damaged area while playing on my MB using the standard DVD Player software. The same burned DVDs work fine on Panasonic and my roomates DVD player. Would it be better if I tried using VLC or some other program?
I would like to be able to watch the internet, sourced from the PC, on my TV (Panasonic TC-32LX700.) Both the PC and the TV have HDMI, and I am running Windows 7 wirelessly. Would this be a simple hook-up of hdmi to hdmi, or do I need to get adapters and or cards to make things work?
