HP/Compaq :: Can't Install Wifi Driver For Presario CQ50 108NR

I have a Compaq Presario CQ50-108NR and my computer needed a recovery, but I had accidentally formatted that part of the hard drive. So I used my Vista Ultimate disk and fresh installed it on my laptop. Because of this, I have to reinstall all of my drivers on my Laptop.
So, I went to HP's site for the drivers which was here. My priority is to get my wifi/internet working as soon as possible because I can download the rest of the drivers later. So, I download both the Atheros and Broadcom drivers for my laptop. I've installed both of them, but my Laptop still doesn't detect any wifi spots despite there being plenty around me. Also, I keep getting a notification that windows must now install drivers for hardware, yet it when I click auto detect and folder detect (folder where my drivers are), it says unable to find any. Also, here is my wifi card.
when i charge my battery not only does my fan speed up, heat up, and so does my charger, the brick heats up or w.e it feals like it could set something on fire if left for a long time, should i worry? or is this normal in all laptops? (this is for the charger)

I'm not sure if this 12mm, 2.5 inch drive would fit in it or be compatible with it. I plan to purchase this one if it is indeed compatible and will fit.
Otherwise, if not, then can someone recommend another internal 750 GB SATA 3 Gb/s 8 MB Cache 5200 or 5400 hard drive for me that is just as good quality as Western Digital? Must be compatible and fit.
I have an Presario CQ57-383SQ and in device manager, network controller has no driver and i can`t find it and my WI-FI doesn't work it shows that is disabled from device manager i thins it is because of the network controller driver. Â And one more....PCI device has no driver and I don't know where to find it.
I can not install WiFi driver for Dell Lattitude E5530, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.InstallShield Wizard aborted with this message:"This platform is not compatible with Intel(R) WiDi or the application is in use."I downloaded all drivers after giving the Service Tag of my laptop and installed then in the correct order. Only WiFi driver failed to install.
so i tried installing from the device manager, from the hp site, from the realtek site, from the ralink site, and nothing. i dont even know what adapter i have because all it says is "network controller". When i try to install it from the device manager it doesnt find anything. when i try to install the downloaded drivers it does its thing then says it didnt install properly, and it will keep saying that.

i got a new laptop Compaq Presario V5015US Notebook PC, from a guy on craigslist.
I first noticed a problem when i tried to install windows xp and it stalled during initial setup when it says "setup is starting windows"
I've tried various cd's and other operating systems such as puppy linux and ubunta. They all seem to freeze up when they try to load.
I've ran hard drive and memory tests with various bootable cd rom disks, and tried various partitions and file systems.
I've switched and tested various compatable hardware components such as hard drives, ram, and cdroms.
I've tried various HAL selections while trying to install windows.
I've gutted the machine and booted it up on a piece of cardboard with only bare minimals for hardware.
I'm not 100% sure it's a hardware problem, because I have an older hard drive with windows 98 installed on it, and it loaded up and ran windows 98 perfectly.
I use compaq presario cq43. my wifi button(f12) and few other buttons like insert,delete is not working.  How can i turn my wifi on. is there any possible way to enable the hardware button ....
I already installed Windows 8.1 64-bits on my laptop and the Wifi Card wasn't already installed. I tried to download the Wifi Card driver and I found 3 drivers :  MediaTek(Ralink) 802.11 Wireless LAN (WLAN) Adapter [URL]....

I've managed to install some of the drivers for my laptop but 2 yellow question marks are still in my device manager - under "other devices" there's a yellow question mark next to "unknown device" and "video controller (VGA compatible)"
hp's website doesn't list the nvidia driver or any other, as for the unknown device - well i'll find out about that later no doubt!

I just bought a Compaq Presario CQ60-216DX laptop, which came with Vista installed and I need to downgrade to Windows XP (for work purposes). I can't seem to find a Windows XP driver for this model and am waiting to downgrade until I know if I need one / if there is one.
my questions are:
1) Is there a Windows XP driver for the Presario CQ60-216DX laptop?
2) If the answer to question 1 is no, is there a comparable driver to use?
I have 5 compaq presario c700 laptops, but i can only use one for wifi!!?? I have down loaded all the networking drivers from this site but the Atheros AR5007 802.11bg wi-fi adapter will not install stating 'driver is not intended for this platform' . I can put the hard drive that works with the wi-fi into any of the machines and the wifi works ok on all machines.
All of the wi-fi cards are the same. I had sorted this problem before but i have forgotten how i done it.
my laptop runs extraordinarily hot (I believe it was a faulty fan/heatsink assembly.) So I purchased a replacement, opened up the laptop and replaced it.
Now I get underload temps Up to 94C on GPU (and around 80 on CPU -
i purchased a compaq presario cq50 model, and i already upgraded my ram to 3gb, and the hp site says i should be able to upgrade to 4gb. also i have a hdmi port blocked up, so can i add a hdmi port? what can i do to upgrade it more?
because i plan to have this laptop for 3-5 years but i also plan on buying a desktop replacement laptop this summer.
I'm kinda worried about it's temperatures. Just surfing internet, I get 75-88ºC (or even 91ºC) on the CPU, and 55ºC on the harddrive. Is that normal? If I run a game, the temperature goes even higher. For example, I was at 77ºC and I opened a video in youtube and it went to 81ºC! Right now I'm just talking on Skype and I have 85ºC.
The computer is not on my lap, it is on a table, so i am not blocking any of the air vents, and the room temperature is not high at all.
i own a compaq cq50 laptop, i was woundering if i would call hp up and ask if i could order a new keyboard for my laptop and they would install it fo me, i dont want a different one, i would just want a new one, would this be possible?
I have a compaq cq50-209wm and it has a intel celeron 585 running at 2.16GHz. I'm not a really big fan of this processor it seems really slow, so I was wondering what other processors this computer supports. it has a socket p 478 so it must support some of the mobile core duos,
This Compaq CQ50-NR215 has continued to get slower over time. It was bought at BestBuy, and came with (2) "GeekSquad" recovery CD's- as opposed to a Microsoft OS disk? Upon backing up my data, I proceded with Disk1- which it said successfully did something with the partition. Stage two was installing original software. It stalled during this stage & gave ERROR 1005. After removing the CD, the laptop failed to boot, stating that some device in the boot sector was not present.  It so happened that I had a Vista OS CD from some other computer, so I inserted the CD & tried reboot. After asking whether to repair/install windows (which I selected install), it appeared to going well. The greeting message appears & says "Prepearing your DESKTOP for initial use". It booted fine, the UI appears intact. The problem-  The WLAN light on the laptop which is red when turned off/blue when on- remains red & will not activate. In the device manager I find no network adapter. A section named "Other Devices" is highlighted in yellow indicating an issue- when selecting Other Devices, a submenu appears & the following list is present (see photo also)

From the HP driver download section, I downloaded what I thought may be the appropriate chipset to a flash drive, then moved to the laptop & installed. Still nothing. Â It was suggested that I may be able to plug an ethernet cable directly from my router to the laptop & gain internet access that way- which failed, no access. The CD I installed from was designed for an older desktop, not having the software to make use of the internal wifi.
I have been able to install Windows XP on an HP DV5-1125NR and I have a problem with the following devices.

I have a dv5-1235dx that i wiped clean and installed Windows 7 Professional. My first round of updates took care of most drivers like scrolling and sound. My laptop has the touch sensitive button up top for volume, mute, play, pause etc.
The volume buttons work but the volume bar no longer displays on screen and it doesnt "click" as you change the volume.
I have the HP page for drivers [url] but dont know what i need. I installed HP quick launch buttons but that didnt do it.
Does anyone know which driver it is? Also which ones should i get and is there a specific way to install them or just run them?
While I was almost a 100% certain my next laptop would be the asus ul30jc, I just saw the folowing laptop in a local advertisement and I must say i'm tempted (being a student, I use almost all of my free money on vacation, food and alcohol so every saved € counts):

So I have a few questions. First and most importent of all, I need to know how long the battery will last, if its +7 hours i'm content.
Second, I have no idea what kind of wifi I need, I use that white Belgacom Digital TV Router so perhaps my fellow Belgians can help me on this? When I use system information it says my wifi in my current laptop is A/G/N.
Third, will I be able to install the newest microsoft office programs (I have 2003, 2007 and will most likely buy 2010 aswell) on windows xp home?
Last but not least, will I see a big difference if I upgrade from 1gb of 2gb of ram? I noticed a big difference on my current laptop when I upgraded my ram, but since that hp compac has a very weak processor, it might be pointless since that cpu might bottleneck the effect?
Everytime i connect to my router(linksys) it connects but shuts off immediately! I have to turn off the wifi, the turn it on again and when i try to connect to my router...it connects then shuts off just like that! It says "Connections are available" but NO connections appear! Then I repeat this step over and over again till it connects! Ofcourse after soo many failed attempts I just quit..  EDIT: I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Laptop, Compaq Presario CQ62Â
My Presario CQ57 (Windows 7 w/ AMD E-300 APU w/Radeon HD graphics) crashed and shut down the other night. Something to do with the display adapter, when I got it fired back up, my wifi wouldn't come on. When I push the wifi button (f12 key), it does nothing, and I can't find my wireless adapter listed in my Device Manager list.
I am going to install MSDN version Win 7 on my dv6700. Is there any issues, esp. drivers issues so far with this setup? Do current vista drivers work well with Windows 7? I am not concerned about big things like display drivers. I am just crossing fingers for drivers like authentec, wifi and bluetooth?
I already know the 320M Drivers are not yet release. Done.
But I can't find a way to install ANY driver I downloaded. None of them will install. Giving me message that there is no compatible hardware.
The only one that will install is from HP's website, but that only installs NVIDIA HD Audio. It doesn't install display drivers at all. W(T)F. Where is the display driver in that install?
I am stuck on the 1280x720 resolution and I cant go up to my native resolution at 1366x768.
I am tired of already spending countless hours downloading and searching for a driver that will work.
Since updating the firmware on my LG drive (GSA-T50L) on every restart I get a message that Windows (Vista Home Basic) cannot install the driver. I click the second option, which is to "remind me later." I have to do this every time I boot up. The CD ROM is actually working OK as far as I can tell, but I'm still getting the error message. Device Manager doesn't list any driver, and trying to update it through device manager is unsuccessful.
I'm using firmware rev. SC05. I wondered if downgrading back to SC04 would cure the problem, but after hundreds of searches I cannot find the firmware anywhere on the Internet. Why it's so rare, I have no idea.
Maybe the problem has been caused by myself -- I deleted the drivers folder from the recovery partition some time ago to gain a couple of GB of drive space. However, I was under the impression that the CDROM uses Windows' own driver, so maybe this isn't the problem? I'm absolutely stumped. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this issue?
FWIW, I have recovery discs, only I'm unsure about using them because I don't want to wipe the entire system and start from scratch. If it's possible to restore only the missing drivers folder from the recovery partition this might be a good start.
I have a compaq presario, product name "Presario C700" and p/n "FE934UA#ABA." The operating system is Windows Vista. I have internet from Comcast and the router I am using is Netgear. I recently moved to a new place and am having trouble connecting to the Wifi at home. I've had this laptop for several years now and have been able to connect to some wifi in the past, but there have been times when I haven't been able to connect to wifi in some public places. I am able to connect to the wifi on my phone and another laptop but not this one. I have tried resetting the router and numerous other steps but nothing seems to resolve the problem. Every time I try to connect, it says that the signal strength is excellent, but it is unable to identify the network and says that "the router is unavailable." I have already called my router company but they were not able to resolve the problem. The only way I can connect to the internet is using an ethernet cord.
