My lenovo B570 is 1month old, when i turn it on it hangs before the user account appears.. its stucked and just saying "Please wait" then i need to turn it off and turn on and on again till it works. Then sometimes when i shut down its also stucked on "Shutting down" I already tried reformatting and its still the same.
I would like to know if the HDMI port on my B570 laptop is an input or an output port. I would like to use my laptop to play games from my ps3 three system so that the tv can be used by another member of my family.
I had to reisntall the factory default software to original. The problem is the Wifi and bluetooth drivers do not install. I tried installing several versions from the lenovo download site but i either get "No Matched Wireless or nothing depending on which one I try to install.
The Laptop is a Lenovo B570, Model Name 1068. Running Windows 7 64 bit.
After running my B570 (1068) with an extended display, the unit went into hibernation. On wake-up the laptop screen is indecipherable garbage. The second display will run to show BIOS startup but then reverts to the built-in screen - which is illegible. Toggling the F3 key does not get a good screen.
I read another post suggesting this is a hardware failure. What parts have failed?
My Lenovo G580AH suddenly became unstartable. It tried to repair the system on startup but didn't finish this after one day.
Then I decided to recover my system using Recovery button. The procedure hangs on 16% with status that 1 sec remaining. I've tried this several times.Current file is different in each case but it is with "thl" extension. Path looks like "C:Program Files (x86)...*.thl" .
I have a problem with my notebook Lenovo N200 (0769). It has appear out of a sudden.
It was working fine a few days ago but at one point it stopped booting.
The bios correctly recognizes (apparently) all the the major components... but it hangs at one point after the message: "Mouse initialized"
The weird part is that it would not even boot from CD. It just hangs...
I tried removing the HDD and booting from a CD and everything went ok. I mean that the system would boot from the CD. So my suspicion is that the HDD is broken.
My Ideapad Z570 has been doing this for some time - the screen is black, lights are on, and won't wake up. I inevitably end up turning it off, so I lose my work.
I've delayed the sleep mode to reduce the number of instances...
I had purchased lenovo g580 core i3 a year ago. 2 days ago, after shutting my laptop, when i tried to switch on, usual lenovo screen appeared in the beginning, but does not happen anything after that. it hangs there, without giving any response.. there are 2 option i.e., to press F2 for setup and F12 for boot menu. but nothing happens even when i press those buttons...
I have z500. I start playing some medium grapic games. After a 1 hour gameplay my graphics start to glitch so i checked my cpu and gpu temp. I saw that CPU temp has reached 99 Celcius but still the fans were dead. Few minutes later, after what ever reason, fans start to spin and now its cooled downed to 60 C. and keeps spinning in low speed still.
Since i can see the temp, i assume there is no problem in thermometer so i assume its kind of a software deficiency. I am not using any overcload or cooling app, my power settings are set to high performance.
Sometimes computer works fine (really rarely) but usually it just doesnt start.
I need to press powerbutton atleast 50 times until it finally start, and when it starts the screen is just blinking black and keys are blinking too, the problem becoming more general when it gets "cold" (Cold = normal indoor temperature 22 celsius) it also takes ages to get windows screen
I have already visited warranty with my laptop and it was there 1.5 months, and they changed keyboard (why?!?!) and send it back, they said that they run some tests without any problems. Then i got my computer back, NOTHING CHANGED, same problems and all, what should i do?!
I have already soft-reseted, reseted bios and reseted whole system, nothing works!
I've noticed that my laptop doesn't start at first power on. A push the start button, Lenovo image is showing but after few second the power go off. I need to push again the power button and then the laptop start without problem.
I have problem with my battery. When i unplug AC power laptop is not started. It's running only when the AC is plugged in. Mabe it's a problem with windows 8.1.
I am using an X1 Carbon (2014 Gen). Win 7 - 64 bit pre installed. Latest finger print manager pro software from lenovo 8.01.07. Tried everything and all possible combinations on the fingerprint software. But can't start my machine by swiping. The reader works perfect otherwise. I can pass bios log on to windows etc. But I still have to go through the power on button. I observe that in the new software (unlike in the earlier ones) there are no start on buttons to be clicked above the fingerprints. how to bypass pressing the power on button and start the machine directly by swiping the enrolled finger?
My friend has a Lenova G580. She said Windows wouldn't boot and gave it to me to fix.
I confirmed that windows does not boot in normal mode, safe mode, or recovery mode using any of the boot options for Windows. It will either sit at a black screen (it looks like it's almost at the GUI) or reboot if in safe mode before it gets to that point.
So after discussion we decided to whipe the machine using the Lenovo OneKey Rescue system. I hit the Lenovo OneKey button next to the power button.
It spends a couple minutes booting and I get the green grass background that looks like this one for version 7 but it will just sit there for a day without ever loading the the app. No mouse, no windows. Just the brackground image.
What the problem might be for this system? Restoring to factory settings was the last resort and I am alarmed to see this is not working on this ~2 year old system.
My computer doesn't seem to start up anymore. It only enters the "Boot menu" tab with no further information. When I'm trying to press "Enter" it just returns back to same screen again. Is my harddrive broken? Is there some reset button available anywhere on the device?
I found a trojan that is attached to skype.exe. I have tried to start in safe mode pressing F8 on start up but I am not able to access safe mode start up. x201....3249-CTO....i7....4GB RAM....64-bit OS....Windows 7
I have a lenovo u410 with a 500gb hdd and a 24 gb cache. Now, I am experienced with hardware and software and have built/reinstalled a lot of computers before. This time it is a bit different. I did not get my windows 8 key with the computer only the OneKey recovery. I did do a backup with this program when the computer was new and I assume it is on the hdd.
So what I want to do is to replace the hdd with a new 2,5 in ssd and keep my windows 8 licence + all the lenovo goodness ( onekey feature, keyboard shortcuts etc..). What would be the best way of doing this? Can i transfer the backup I did to the new drive?
Running Windows 8.1 for some time, but latest updates (8/13/14) cause the problem. Restore point and shutting down updates allows use, but it's a short term fix.Which update causes the paroblem?
Having a bit of an issue with the GOBI3000 unit in my x230.
Tried out W8.1 on the laptop and didn't quite like the setup, so this evening I did the factory reset back to W7.
I've done the factory reset (from USB drive) every few months to get a clean slate going and never had any issues.
Except for today that is.
After getting into the clean windows 7 and trying to pull down all the usuall windows updates and Lenovo updates, the only thing that failed is the GOBI3000 device. Screenshot is included of what is happening.
Tried messing around with drivers as much as possible, uninstall everything, download the package from lenovo and tried again. Just did a second factory restore in the freak case the first reset had something happen.
Like I mentioned, have never had an issue with the system update pulling the drivers down for this before.
Couldn't really find much about this device not being able to start, so I'm at a standstill.
I just updated my G780 to Windows 8.1 this morning. every time I boot up the computer, I get an Error message stating" Dolby Advanced Audio - Unable to start the Dolby Audio driver. Please restart the computer or reinstall the driver if the problem persists. I have restrtaed the computer and I do not know where the driver is for this or where to install it. Computer is just over a month old.
I'd been having problems with the microphone not picking up voice well after upgrading to Windows 8.1. I went to Lenovo's website and downloaded IDT audio driver version 6.10.6490.0 for Windows 8.1 64bit. I ran the exectuable that was downloaded and now the Microphone works much better however now Dolby Advanced Audio is unable to start. I get the following warning message everytime I start the laptop:
"Unable to start the Dolby Audio driver. Please restart the computer or reinstall the driver if the problem persists."
Restarting has not worked. Running the driver executable again did not correct the issue.
I found this solution on the support forums but it is unclear about what to uninstall in "Device Manager"[URL]..."Open Device Manager Uninstall the Audio Device Under Audio inputs and outputs"I have a Microphone, Speakers, and Stereo Mix listed under Audio Inputs and Outputs.
I upgraded to 8.1, everything went smoothly, installed the drivers from lenovo update and windows update. At random times, typically when I play flash content or use metro apps, explorer.exe crashes, windows try to restart it and it goes an infinite loop with flashing screen. I can stop it only by cold reboot, which leads to work loss.
The event viewer showed ntdll.dll related error in explorer.exe and iexplorer.exe, and after contacting microsoft support, they checked my dump files and we found that it was nvidia driver related problem specifically :
I installed versions 320.92, 326.19, 327.23 and none of them work.
If I try to install the latest lenovo windows 8 version of the driver, i get black screen after the windows boot screen.
So I am in a situation that nvidia support tells me to contact lenovo, lenovo support told me that despite this windows 8.1 compatibility list [URL] , they do not support windows 8.1, and I should contact Microsoft, and of course Microsoft tells me that they are not in charge of developing graphic drivers (true).
I cannot work on my laptop since it is crashing every 30 minutes or so, and I don't want to rollback to windows 7. What should I do?
Typical Dell issue. I just got my new Dell 15 5000 series laptop. Spent 1 hour setting it up. Took a break closed the lid and now its dead. I have a power light on the front but screen wont come back. Have held the power button down for 10 seconds then retried it but nothing. It is plugged in just no screen or activity.
I have had a HP dv5z w/ windows Vista Home Premium - 64 bit for two days now.
1) I have a wired USB mouse that I use since the touchpad is terrible. But everytime, I plug in this supposedley plug and play mouse, there is a message that says device driver is being installed and it takes a few moments before the mouse can be recognized. Is this normal?
2) Also, the day i got my laptop, i had to download Windows updates (the automated message on the control panel said so!) and installed them. I am not sure if its related but since then i have re started my laptop 2-3 times and there is a file check process that happens as a part of the start up and then just before the welcome screen comes, i get a message Step 1 of 3 - Configuring Updates - Do not shut down your computer.
How long is this going to happen and is this normal?
I just got my new system, and wanted to remove the crapware before creating my recovery disks. I did that, then ran the Sony utility to create the recovery disks. I did not install anything.
One thing I uninstalled was SQL Server. I have no need of it.
Building the recovery froze at various stages of completion... 44%, 27%, 21%. I got an alert with the error, "Failed to start database service". I finally caught that error right away and dismissed -- then the system finished building the recovery disks.
Great -- now I have to wonder, are the recovery disks even valid?
Also, what database service does the system want, and what process wants it? I now get this error at arbitrary times. Sometimes on startup. Usually whenever I do anything with install/remove programs. So is this some new Windows 7 enhancement to the registry? Have I created a time bomb in my system by deleting SQL Server? If Windows 7 needs this, why did it let me delete it?
So far I wish I had a DOS machine. It's unfortunate that my work requires me to use Windows -- the OS treats me badly, and I can't use my new machine until I can predict whether the initial setup is valid.
I am getting continuous beep sounds while starting of the laptop. The beep sound is continuous for a period of appx 10-15 seconds and afterwards the laptop is working normally.
I left my T400 on overnight running on battery (clearly not the brightest idea), and now it won't start up. The plug and battery lights do illuminate when I plug it into an outlet; when I turn it on, the num lock and caps lock lights illuminate briefly, and the power status indicator light illuminates. It makes a few whirring noises, and then just sits there. !
