Acer Aspire V15 V3-572G-51DR :: Turns On But No Image On Screen?
Mar 10, 2015
Just got this Laptop, popped battery in, plugged it in. I turn it on, keyboard backlight comes on, the fans spin up, nothing comes on the screen. Nothing is coming out of the HDMI port, really frustrated at this point as this is the second Acer laptop I bought that had issues (granted first one was used so I gave Acer a pass).
Anything I can do to fix this or is it just dead and send it back?

I needed to use Windows resore. after restart, the acer logo dont show and laptop stay in black screen and HDD LED blink in aqual time slice. Then after a few minutes acer logo shown and Windows starts.
This, happend few times but now acer logo dont show and it stay in black screen .
I have repaired a few laptop in my time so when a friend said his screen was black but he could read it with a flashlight I guessed right away it was an inverter problem.
I got a new inverter off of *bay, carefully removed the display bezel, swapped in the new inverter and powered it up. Successfully boots into Windows ! Shut it down, screwed the inverter down, put the bezel back on and now the display comes on for 1 second, just long enough to see that "Acer" splash screen, and then goes black. Yes you can still read the screen with a flashlight.
Checked the power in and out wires, they look good. Re-seated both connectors. unscrewed the inverter board from the display so that it is :floating". Nothing. Swapped in the old inverter and it acts the same ?
Today I was using my laptop (Acer Aspire 5742G) normally and then suddenly my screen freezes and turns off. The picture at that moment when the screen froze was covered with green horizontal lines and some small green squares and then the screen switched off while the laptop continued to operate normally.
I tried to restart my laptop, but the screen does not turn on, and looks like laptop is working normally because I can hear the windows login sound (led indicators for WIFI and read data from the HDD are working). I tried to connect the laptop and TV via an HDMI cable, but the TV does not get any picture.
i have a acer aspire 3000 i got from some relatives but when i turn it on it turns on i can here the fan kick on an the dvd drive go click click and stuff but then fan stops and it goes dead silent and the screen never shows anything from the beggining by any chance do those little switches that shut off the screen when u close it ... .do they ever brake ...? ive tried hooking it up to another monitor but it doesnt show a screen of anything but it must send some type of a signal cause its just a plain blank screen and once i unplug it it sais no signal no signal all over
I had tried that already, sadly still stale results with no change. Tomorrow I'm planning on buying different HDMI cables to see if it's a hardware issue, I don't want to take my computer in if it's happening to all three (I read somewhere that it may be the cord itself) .....
this all started when I first purchased my laptop (Aspire V3-572G-54S6, Windows 8.1) when it was on sale for a great price in mid-August. I had heard great things about Acer, loved the specs and look, and was excited to get it. It arrived a few days later, took it out of the box and with the first start up my display was messed up. About 1/4 up the screen tear a little and the top of the screen was being duplicated at the bottom........never had that happen before so I got in touch with Acer support chat, I updated video drivers, rebooted, did a complete power drain, etc. The problem persisted so they had me send it in for servicing. I got it back from servicing just about 2 weeks ago, and it was fixed! Or at least it was until this past Wednesday when the problem returned. Now the problem only occurs when I've had it on for 30minutes to 1 hour, as it is fine on start up. The service log/sheet I got back with it said all they did was software updates, updated BIOS, and nothing hardware related.
I have got my hard drive replaced under warranty. Now i have installed a fresh copy of windows 8.1. The drivers of wireless have been installed by windows. Its Broadcom 802.11ac version 6.30.223.102.
I got an E1-572G Acer Laptop and I'm having a problem with it.When I press SHUT DOWN the screen goes black but the power led is on.. and I can't turn it ON because I have to press the POWER BUTTON for about 5 seconds then all the led-s turn off and then I can start it. I searched on Google, made a few changes in settings (FAST STARTUP, etc) but I'm having still the same problem. I have this problem about 2 weeks, and I'm really nervous about it.
I own an Acer Aspire R7-572G which has a combined 4-pin 3.5mm headset jack.
I would like to use a normal microphone with an 3.5mm connector. The microphone did not work by directly plugging the connector into the socket, therefore I bought an adapter which splits the 4-pin output into speaker & microphone sockets.
Now the microphone does work properly, however, unless I am connecting external speakers I am not able to use the internal notebook speakers. (maybe because the notebook assumes that a headset is plugged in)
>>> Is there a way to use my external microphone and the internal notebook speakers?
One more thing to mention: If I plug in the cable, a popup on the notebook appears asking which device I just plugged in. Sadly my only three options are "headphones", "speaker output" or "headset". NO MICROPHONE OPTION !!!
I've tried disabling certain services, which seemed to work but only for a little while. Is 5400 rpm's too slow to run Windows 8.1 just because of all the programs and services that run in the background?
I have a brand new Acer Aspire V3-572G. Its been a bit of a lemon so far, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt for just a while longer as I'm not particularly tech-savvy so perhaps the problem is me. Yesterday the volume icon (on the bar at the bottom of the screen) stopped working altogether. I can press it with the curser and it changes colour in the way it should when you click on something ... BUT nothing comes up ... no sound/volume control thing that I can adjust. I know I can use the Function key and arrows, but that is just fiddly, and for a brand new computer, I expect things to work.
I have a Acer Aspire V5-572G running Windows 8.1 and have found that the microphone jack won't recognise any external mic that is placed into it. It won't detect on the sound option despite the fact all the drivers are updated.
I have a new aspire E1-572G that won't shutdown completely over an update to windows 8.1 ... I've Updated the Bios and downloaded the drivers from the support site.
I've done a recovery to default factory settings and tried again......no luck
I installed windows 8.1 after i installed al windows updates.
My laptop is Acer Aspire E5-572G. Im having problems connecting a Samsung 840 EVO SSD through a 2nd disk caddy.
I mean, it cannot be recognized at all even in BIOS. I am thinking to install new BIOS system , but when searching for it , I don't find anything and I don't want to flash wrong BIOS update.
[URL]] ....
It is exactly this model , I have entered the serial number I got from Ace's system information software. Any way to recognize the 2nd disk caddy along with the SSD?
I have a new E1-572G laptop. Long story short, I installed Win 7 on it, and after that, Ubuntu 14.10. I had issues with bootloader, but after fiddling around with legacy/UEFI booting, secure boot, and things like that, I almost successfully configured the laptop. When I selected the ubuntu uefi bootmgr in the bios, in secure boot mode, I rebooted the laptop for what I thought the last time, but then it did not go past the Acer logo. Only combination that works is ctrl+alt+delete. If I remove the hdd, then the acer logo flashes for half a second, and a black screen appears, with a static console cursor at the left upper corner.
I searched a lot in the topic, wanted to reset the bios, but there is no jumper for this, nor can I remove the bios battery. I wanted to reflash the bios, but I could not find proper instructions on this.
I have a brand new Acer Aspire E1-572G. It has 1TB HDD and with no partitions. So I want to create partitions as I wish, but before that, I would like to know if the recovery option will work if I alter the default HDD structure. Before I have failed with restoring after creating partitions with some other brands.

After upgrading to Windows 8.1 x64 bit, my bluetooth is not detecting and cannot be detected by other devices (my mobile phone). In device manager, I have NO yellow triangles with exclamation marks, when I search automatically for updates, windows says everything is up to date (see picture below) so everything seems fine and running. Bluetooth is on but after searching does not find devices (even if the phone is also on bluetooth).
I have an Acer Aspire V3-572g. My laptop came with windows 8.1 installed already. Currently, my pc is being reset to factory settings because I can not figure out how to keep the hdmi from going out after windows updates. The only way I can keep get the hdmi port to work is the factory reset it. The only way from keeping the hdmi working is by turning off windows updater. However, I'd like to figure out how to keep the hdmi working without doing so. My graphics card is Nvidia 840 M. Here are a list of things I've done after my laptop stops recognizing the hdmi.
Uninstall and reinstall the display drivers, both from intel and Nvidia Update the drivers to be up to date Downloaded intel's utility manager to keep driver update to date Downloaded factory installed drivers from Acer's website Contacting microsoft and have them remotely connect to my laptop Restored back my laptop to previous working conditions (although the hdmi never worked by going to a restore point) Swapped hdmi cords and displays
After several hours of researching and trying different things I'm stumped. I bought this computer with the sole purpose of connecting it to a TV. I've also had this issue with another laptop which I returned. This problem isn't a hardware problem as I'm connected to the same monitor with an old desktop using the same cords. I'm guessing there is a compatability issue with windows and the display drivers when there is an update.
I recently bought Acer aspire E15 model E5-572G-5577 which came with i5-4210m (2.6 to 3.2Ghz),8GB RAM,Nvidia GeForce 840M 2GB dedicated VRAM,1TB HDD and freeDOS. Since i recieved Win8.1 x64 for my Birthday i bought this laptop without windows and installed 8.1, as Acer claims that fully supports this OS.
Everything was ok in installation and i even installed HD4600 driver but when installed Nvidia driver although it looked ok and it was shown in device manager the graphic card wasn't show in my display (only HDGraphics) and in nvidia control panel i had only the 3D settings option but still it seems that 840M hasn't kicked in.
I assume its the driver so after many attempt with different drivers i still have the same issue. The laptop is brand new and in OEM 8.1 it seems to work but not for all of us that have a bought copy of Windows. I have wasted so much money on a Acer with 840M GPU that wont work.
My laptop would not turn on at all and no lights came one so I bought a new motherboard.
Ive installed the new motherboard, but now when I turn it on the lights turn on, the fan spins, the dvd drive clicks a few times but the screen stays blank. Nothing comes on even after a few minutes. I disassembled the entire laptop again and put everything back together but still nothing comes up on the screen. I reseated the RAM and HDD but still no luck.
