View 1 RepliesJust a couple of days ago I bought a brand new acer aspire v13 (v-371) and we'll, I cannot connect to my hotspot wifi. I've tried changing ip adress, dns server, disabled/enabled network adapter and they've all worked but then connection is lost after a short amount of time (15-30 minutes) and i cannot get back on.I have not tried connecting to another network than my phones. I have windows 8.1.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated to 8.1 it has worked fine. Last night my computer did the HP installs and now I cannot connect to my WiFi but can hotspot my phone.
View 1 Replies View Relateda while ago (month?) i buyed my new Aspire 5315. I installed additional RAM (Kingmax SODIMM 1024MB, DDRII533, CL4, PC4300), and after that - laptop after some time (may vary between 1 - 3hs, by room temperature and running processes, and if charger is attached or not) goes hot (at the place where ram is) and shutdowns by itself.
Here will be more detailed specs. (ask if there's something missing)
Could be the voltage wrong? As i said - it's totally new laptop, i think this wouldn't be a dust problem.
at BIOS - there is no voltage settings, and it doesn't show any temp, etc. I installed SpeedFan, it shows 35° for HDD and 50° for Temp1.
I bought a new DELL SE 7520 . It has 2 problems:
1. flash drives and dvd drives are not shown in the " my computer "Â
2. cant able to create recovery disc{ runs good for the 1st dvd when i inserted the second dvd its just ejects not doing any other action }
How to create an iso file for the windows 8.1 oem pre installed on my notebook for future references.

-Do you experience any strain on your eyes?
We have a brand new Aspire E15 and are wanting to create a recovery backup on to a usb drive.
Â
As per the user manual we type recovery in the search and select 'Acer Recovery Management'.
Â
We then get the User Acount Control window asking if we want to allow Acer Recovery Management to make changes to the computer, then click 'Yes'.
Â
Then nothing happens......
When I go to the Backup and Recovery, and I have not yet created a factory default disc, to do so... it does not do that. How can I create a factory default disc?Â
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought this new acer E5-771-378y , windows 8.1 and I want to get it all set up for him before Chrismas. Why can I not use a dvd disk for the recovery restore disk? It keeps telling me to insert a 16 gb usb. I don't have a free USB to use and I would prefer to put it on disks like I have done for every other computer I have owned.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an Aspire V3-772G. I can't create a recovery drive anymore. I ran reagentc.exe in command-prompt and it's pointing to the correct recovery location, but Windows RE is disabled and for some reason I can't reenable it.

Here are some screenshots to describe the problem :
I have a new HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 running Windows 7 64 bit. The computer can see wireless networks, but when I try to connect to them I get a pop up saying "Wireless: assocaiting" followed by one saying "Wireless: disconnected" and the connection never works. This happens no matter which wireless network I connect to. I know the networks and passwords are correct, because both my iPad and phone can connect to them without issues.Â
Â
I have updated all drivers via Windows Update and also the SP Support Assistant. I have tried uninstalling the wireless driver and allowing Windows to discover and install from scratch. Nothing seems to work.
I bought the Aspire E5-571 yesterday and i have been trying to connect to wifi with no luck what so ever. it runs windows 8.1 x64bit. i have updated the atheros network adapter to .285 provided on the acer drivers downloads section. but still no luck. wifi connections are shown but i cannot connect to them, i have bt infinity using the bt hub 4. i get as far as typing in the pass code for the router but then says it cannot connect. my other devices can connect (iPhone, laptop running win7). the only way for me to connect is to sit on my stairs using an ethernet cable.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi was able to connect the dell cause it had some round hole that i stuck a cable into and then my into T.V. My laptop(Aspire 6920g) doesn't have that hole(I think, didn't find it) , so anyways, how do I connect it to a T.V.?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy laptop just wont connect to the Wifi ! ...I installed a new hard drive a few months ago due to my origional being on the blink...I managed to install all the drivers etc and everything is working fine, except that is the Wifi, it has worked since however since moving house I have really struggled with it (it would connect on very rare occasions, for brief periods - although more recently will not connect whatsoever).

(It says that there is no drive for the Ethernet Controller however i was under the impression that this wouldnt hinder the wireless connection?)
I cant connect to internet via WiFi but i can connect using the internet cable. says can not connect to primary dns server.

I am stuck being tech support for my brother who is living in Torres Vedras, Portugal right now. He is having some problems with a pretty new Acer Aspire 5810TZ that was given to him around Christmas time. The computer had been used for about a month before he received it and had a few programs installed on it along with the usual bloatware. I cleaned up what I could before he left for Portugal again and installed AVG anti-virus, MS Office '07, and Windows 7.
Now that he is back in Portugal he is having problems with the things he uses most on the computer (Built in microphone not working, built in webcam only working randomly for a short amount of time, and DivX failing any time he tries to watch tv or movies online) I've walked him through updating all the drivers and reinstalling DivX, but nothing seems to fix these problems and Windows 7 is starting to look like more trouble than it is worth to him.
Main Question: Is there any way to restore the computer back to the way it was when first purchased (with Vista or 7, whichever will work) without the use of recovery discs (He does not have any with him over seas) in a way that is simple enough for me to relay to him?
I'm running i7 inspiron with windows 7 64 bit.
When i start computer on battery and then connect external power it freezes.
I can't click anything.
I have all the drivers installed.
I have had to have a new hard drive installed as I got a error message saying old drive failing.
I also had a clean install of windows 7 as I was uncertain whether my discs I created would be ok.
I therefore have not got all of the freebies that were installed on the laptop as new. I now find that the dvd drive is not showing in my computer and nothing happens when I insert disc.

This happened a couple of days ago and I did a system restore to the previous restore point. I have also not got the egis safe - how to get this back ....
I'm just curious how many of you are going to buy the iPad (any version).
View 10 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5515 Laptop. Has a built in Wireless card. It detects the hotspots with no problem. It connects to the available networks with no problem. But it will not connect to any internet service. Strange, but that is also what trouble shooter says. Connects to network, but not to internet, thus browser cannot resolve to any URL.
I even disabled firewall to see if it would help, but it will not.
Even has issues trying to network at home using ethernet cards. Detects, but will not connect.
I have an Acer laptop model 5736. The screen won't light up but I can connect a VGA cable to my tv and see that the computer is working. ( i typed this on it). The screen started acting up a month or two ago and I could close it or re-position it and it would come back on. Today it stopped altogether. I watched a couple of videos on youtube on downloading bios, but that didn't work for me. When i tried to run the bios it said my computer was 64 bit and didn't support the 32 bit bios.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 8.1 and I've successfully connected via Bluetooth other devices to my R7 and sound bar but I can't successfully connect my Aspire R7 to my Samsung Sound Bar model HW-H750.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Aspire V5 -473P-5602. This is my 2nd unit as the first had issues that couldn't be fixed. Had this replacement for 2 months now and has been working great until recently. I'm hoping this is a minor thing, but I can't seem to find anything online about it.
Â
Basically, sometimes when I turn on the computer it boots into the "insydeh20" screen. Not every time but enough to be annoying to me. The computer is pretty much as is when I got it new. No 3rd party apps, nothing modified etc etc.
Â
Again, except for installing Windows updates nothing on the computer has been changed. Sometimes when I start the computer I hear a clicking sound ( one click) Seems it makes the noise when there is a Microsft update available. Normal?? Never did it before...
I bought an Acer Aspire V/-582PG 15,6" HD touch a month ago. Today I was playing games with a couple of friends when the screen suddenly turned white. I could still hear the game music and could talk to my friends on mumble. I tried to put the computer to sleep and turn it on again, but the screen was still bright white. I then tried to shut it down and start it again; the screen was still white.
Â
I then connected it to my tv using hdmi. This enabled me to see the Windows login screen. Shortly after I logged in to Windows, the computer shut down. Now i can't start it and none of the lights on the computer are on.
Alright I have looked at every single piece of literature I can find and I am stumped. I have an eMachines EM250 (mechanically identical to the AO D250) and I can not for the life of me figure out what the small card slot on the bottom of the computer is. I know the memory slot and the HDD slot but the third slot is a mystery. I think it is a mini-PCI slot for a solid state memory module but I'd like to find a definitive answer before I go any further.
