I am using HP envy 17 notbook PC. It is a 2 month old. From today morning the mouse pad is not at working all of a sudden. I had to use usb mouse to operate. I tried all ways of installing drivers and all other stuff but its not working.
View 2 RepliesI just purchased an Hp Envy m6 notebook PC m6-n168ca to replace my last Envy with a corrupt OS. I have a Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 4000 to use with it and I plugged in the usb connector and it installed automatically and successfully apparently. Unfortunately, the mouse is not being recognized on the screen. It works on my other laptops so i know it's not the mouse. This is my first touch screen laptop though so I am wondering if it has something to do with that? The trackpad mouse function works fine but I need to be able to use the mouse and the touch pad. Is this possible? Is there something I have to toggle on or off? How to change the mouse click settings and stuff.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased an Envy 15-J108la notebook about a month ago (Windows 8.1 64). I also bought a Microsoft bluetooth mouse to use with it.
First I noticed mouse stoped working randomly, maybe 2 times a day. Sometimes it was enough to turn it off and on again to recover it, but sometimes I had to reboot.
I updated the bluetooth driver (Intel Bluetooth 4.0 Driver, 2014-01-18, Version 3.1), problem persisted but seemed to occur less frequently.
Today after installing an update for the wireless adapter the device manager reported that the Intel Bluetooth 4.0 device was faulting. Tried to dissable and re-enable but the device simply dissapeared. Now device manager reports a "Unknown USB device" with error 43, and bluetoth devices are not detected, no matter how many times I reboot.
I have a HP Envy Touchsmart 15 Notebook. I use a USB mouse all the time. When I type I sometime drag my thumb on the touchpad which moves my curser without my noticing it. Can I disable the touchpad. My OS is 64 bit Windows 8.1 .

I work fast, so this is an incredibly frustrating thing to happen, as everything now takes ten times longer to do.
I turned laptop on today and the touchpad is just not working. Has this happened to anyone else? I looked for drivers but only found vista ones which I installed but still not working. Thankfully I have a bluetooth mouse but it is not that good and I like to use the touchpad.

Acer says to refresh the computer, that does not work either. It is new with about 20 hours on it. I took the first machine back to retailer and same situation with the new machine.
Clearly this is an issue with Acer notebook touchpads and at least in my case W8.1. That is why google is littered with search titles for acer touch pads not working.
I have purchased an Acer Aspire ES1-111M-C3CP with windows 8. I am generally really pleased with the laptop and quality, except for one thing, the mouse pad stops working. When this happens I have to plug a usb mouse in the move the mouse pointer on the screen. If I restart the laptop then the mouse pad works fine, then randomly it will stop working again.

I have an M6600 running Windows 7.
The BT Moust is a Dell Travel Mouse F299K. When I add it through the normal bluetooth menu, it seems to add correctly, but the blue light on the mouse keeps blinking.
I updated the BIOS to A12- that got it working for about 15 minutes. Then it quit and I'm back to where I started. I tried the mouse on two other machines and it works fine. Even on a Macbook Pro.
Since updating to ThinkPad Bluetooth software 6.5.1.2700 on July 28, 2012, my ThinkPad Bluetooth mouse will stop working after using it for several hours. Disabling power management in Bluetooth does not seem to solve the problem. Please provide a download link to the prior version of ThinkPad Bluetooth software until this issue is resolved.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have a ACER Travelmate 2482WXMi, i have done a fresh install of windows XP home, i have done a full format of the hard drive, but i have issues the touchpad will not work only in safe mode. I have installed most of the drivers through safe mode, but the mouse will only work when i connect an external mouse when it's in normal mode.
Also i do get some bad sectors on the hard drive, and it takes over 2mins to shut down the comp. I havent installed programs yet, except PC Wizard 2008. Also the laptop is not the base model with 512MB ram i have added a 1gb stick and it works fine. I am thinking maybe its the hard drive. If

I own a Envy Dv6 operating Windows 8.1... After one particular shut down, all my USB ports refused to work.
I checked my device manager and it showed that all my USB controllers are working properly, but under other devices three new unknown device showed up with an yellow triangle containing an exclaimation mark showed up. Right clicked and it says that the driver is not installed, but I can't seem to find any that the system is willing to recognise.Without USB ports these days, I find it difficult to function properly.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver, everything says i should ave the IDT HD audio driver but it ony lets me downoad the Realtek audio driver. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had my ENVY 6-1040ca for the past 2 year now, and suddenly my laptop started to overheat. After I started getting an error on my laptop every time I started my laptop I got System Fan (90b) error message on start-up.
First I thought it was dust that was clogging the fan so I cleaned it with the air compressed can. I tired that and still did not work. So I got curious and opened my laptop to see why the fan was not working. It turned out that the fan would start then stop start and keep doing that. Even when running a game (or any other high performance application) it would still do that.
My wireless button will not light up blue. Pressing it only switches airplane mode on and off. I tried a hard reset and it didn't work. I have a HP Envy TS 17 Notebook. Product number is E8A11UA#ABA. How to solve this?
