View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing a problem with my G500s Touch, i am not touching the screen but it makes a lot of random inputs and appears contextual menu (like right click). It's really annoying, one of these days i'm going to throw this laptop through my apartment's window.
I already opened device manager and deleted all HID interfaces and reinstalled. Reinstalled Elan Drivers (i think maybe it is the problem, elan driver), i used windows restore 3 times and i still have the problem.
A Quick solution for this: Ctrl + Alt + Del, then Escape. And you will not have this problem in the next 1, 3, 5 or 10 minutes.
Some days ago, i bought thinkpad x40 and upgrade OS to win 8. But, touch screen isn't working.

Windows 7 worked very fine after installing the device drivers, except for the LCD brightness that doesnt respond to any fine adjustments...
In the main page of windows power management, as well as the keyboard hotkeys, the slider either goes to the maximum or minimum brightness (no stages in between though in windows 8 there were > 6 stages)....
In the advanced settings screen, as far as i adjust brightness (for example to 50% on battery, 70% plugged in) this doesnt lead to any change in the brightness practically....
I've have had a Lenovo g500s running windows 8.1 for almost a year and never had an major issue. But recently I have found that it will not turn on. I have found that by taking out and putting the battery back in will rarely result in the battery light blinking in red. If i try to turn it on at this point it will turn for a few second "prepare for automatic repairs" and then in a few seconds turn back off its original turned off state. I have tried "Flee-Power" while calling technical support and it made a small noise and then issued a burning smell. It's 1 year warranty is still valid.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my Lenovo G500s 1.1 years (1 year & 1 month). It worked perfectly until last month. It started to freeze. I restarted the computer (btw I was using licenced win8 back then) and then the lenovo logo showed up and it stuck there. I was waiting for about 10 minutes, but nothing happened. I turned it off manually, and then turned it on,it was still frozen. after some trial of startup, it worked normally. After 2 days it happened again. I thought it was the system, so I deleted the windows8 and installed windows8.1 licensed, it worked for a month and then again (last night) it just freezes at startup (lenovo logo shows up). Till now its frozen. I restarted it several times, it didnt work. I also pulled out battery & started on AC power which didnt work too. Obviously, i dont have warranty.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy friend bought a U430 Touch with Windows 8. He hated Win 8 so downgrade to Win 7. Now the wireless dowsn't work. Ethernet works fine and we are able to get on the internet, but wireless does not work at all. I've been to Lenovo's site and downloaded the drivers from their support site, but nothing weems to work. Is there a special driver I'm missing?

Check my hardware in control panel - everything seems to be ok - but maybe I dont know where to look ?

For some reason, I cannot get the backlit keyboard to work on my new X1 Carbon Touch. It lights up upon powering up and then will not turn on no matter how many times I hit the space bar. I don't see an option to enable/disable anywhere either. Am I missing a driver?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I recently updated my u310 Touch to Windows 8.1. My audio isn't working anymore. I've checked the drivers, and updated all that come with the Windows 8.1 update.
My Device Manager says that my Conexant SmartAudio HD is updated, and so is my Intel (R) Display Audio. To make sure, I downloaded and installed the drivers from the Lenovo support site. When I try to play something on iTunes or on Windows Media Player, it just stops, and no sound is emmited. Youtube, or any other music player on the web, isn't working either.
I just got this U530 and wanted to use a dual monitor setup with a monitor that only supports DVI inputs (Samsung SyncMaster BX2335). I bought a cable for the purpose: an HDMI to DVI-D cable. I cannot seem to get the laptop to recognize that there is a monitor attached, however.
Am I going to have to use a port replicator instead or use some sort of USB 3 to DVI setup? I have no other video output options built into this computer.
my brand new lenovo y50 touch. Straight out of the box, everything works beautifully except one major thing: the touch screen doesn't work. I know it is the touch version and settings even calls it "lenovo y50-70 touch" but below that it reads "No pen or touch input available for this display" ...what?? there are also no drivers on lenovo's support page that say anything about touch.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe speakers on the laptop itself work, but when I plug in any pair of headphones or earphones (I've tried 5 known good pairs) and it is the same problem every time. The right ear piece works and the left does not. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver to no avail.
Is there any easy solution like an usb audio jack or something I can use to be able to use headphones?
I use a USB MIDI keyboard (Akai LPK25) with my Ideapad. I've not previously had an issue with this configuration, but since about a week ago, as soon as I plug in the device the touch screen becomes disabled. Removing the device doesn't restore touch screen functionality; I actually have to reboot.
Was there a recent USB upgrade that's causing this issue?
I used my brightness down button once and now it won't go back up. I can't adjust the settings at all, despite the graphic on the screen showing me the meter going up and down. I've checked all drivers, tried uninstalling and reinstalling lenovo energy management, and I've still got nothing. I've stopped short of a factory reset because that's super annoying having set everything up and then a couple weeks after purchase have to do it again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 3444-CUU that I really love. When I first got it I realised the wireless adapter would just randomly stop working. I updated every possible driver and I'm still having the same issues. All I can do is reset the adapter to get it kicking again. I'm not sure if the wifi care is soldered or if it could be removed or replaced but I'm really leaning towards it being a hardware issue.
It'll either stop working could turkey, won't detect any wireless networks or it'll stop working and I can still view other wireless networks but I cannot connect to them. Resetting the adapter is the only option. As I'm writing this right now the wireless has gone out again. So I have to reset the adapter for 5-10 more minutes of internet just so that I can post this.
Windows doesn't recognize that my U530 Touch Laptop has a touch screen. Worked okay for the first couple of months. I've tried looking for hardware updates and restarting. Computer is only a few months old, so this stinks.

I just got my new carbon touch thinkpad today, and I couldn't be happier, until I closed the lid and reopened it a couple of minutes later. The screen froze for a while and then I got a BSOD with the notice CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. I hoped it would be just some coincidence, and updating my drivers and installing windows updates would solve it. So I did, and closed the lid again. After reopening it, I got the same error. So I figured I could just as well restore to my factory settings. Without luck. After updating everything for a second time, still no luck. I check the disk and did a memory check, but everything seems fine. The lenovo Solution center isn't reporting any issues either. I looked into the minidump created by the blue screen, and it seemed the process failing is called csrss.exe.

Today 34 day after receiving the payed ultrabook no answer has been provided, the only solution is to receive a new XPS12 but DELL need anoter 50 day to try to send me another PC.
I own an Ideapad Z-500 notebook running Win 8.1.After updating Intel graphic adapter from Windows Update the screen brightness adjust key (F11 and F12) stops working and I cannot adjust my scrren brightness.I have to uninstall it and disable Windows update to keep using my laptop.

I'm not sure if mt drivers are old, but my touch screen works sometimes then completely stops working and when I try to calibrate it, it tells me that there's no N-Trig duosense hardware on my computer. It says I DO have the hardware when it's in a 'working stage' though. Every time I try to download a driver, it says 'fatal error.'
