Acer :: 6935G, Windows 7, Launch Manager And Realtek Drivers
Nov 18, 2009
I have a Acer 6935G which I have recently installed Windows 7 on (x64). Windows found most of the drivers, audio included. I then downloaded the Windows Vista version of Launch Manager (version 126.96.36.199), and installed - and yes, everything worked great.
That is, until I found I had an issue with my microphone in Skype. I had ALOT of audio noise coming through when using the mic... I realised this was because the gain was up too high, however to reduce the microphone gain (or boost), it was impossible with the stock Windows 7 drivers.
So? I went to Realtek's website and downloaded the newest Realtek HD Audio driver - for Windows 7. I installed this, and then low and behold, in the Audio manager, I found that the mic boost was set to +20db! I removed this boost, and my audio issues were fix! Horray... Or at least, so I thought.
Upon doing this, I realised that the new Realtek audio drivers had some how stopped Launch Manager from working correctly. The "e", web and e-mail buttons all work fine, however the touch screen audio slider, mute button, etc. do not register when I press them.
Even before installing Launch Manager, on a fresh install, the mute button would work!
So this led me to go down the route that Launch Manager, and specifically the "Cinedash" part (volume controls etc) were trying to control the wrong audio device. In my audio devices, I have two "playback devices" listed, Speakers (on Realtek High Definition Audio) and Realtek Digital Output (also on Realtek High Definition Audio).
I went ahead and disabled the latter (Realtek Digital Output), but no, nothing... the controls on the cinedash still didn't do anything!
So, i decided I'd uninstall the Realtek drivers i'd just installed. After doing that? Nothing! The cinedash audio controls STILL don't control my audio!.......
I am having trouble getting launch manager to work on my TM8200 with WIN7 Enterprise. I have the three buttons working with the programs that I prefer, but, even though it is a small problem, I would like to program the email button to check for mail and blink when I have mail, just like it did in the 'old' days.
I know that the Launch Manager program is on the computer, because I programmed the keys, but I can't open it anymore. Double clicking on all the .exe files in Launch Manager get me nowhere.
I've just done a clean install of Windows 7 64bit and installed the latest Realtek HD driver (2.42) from their site, selected 5.1 in the sound properties through Windows and Audio Manager but when I playback media the sound is still tinny and only 2.0.
I haven't installed anything else and let Windows find the other drivers for my 9600M GS etc
This is the second time I've installed the OS as facing the same problem before and thought it might have been a corrupt installation or something.
when i turn on my laptop this error appears when i log on to windows. it appears to be having a conflict with acer eAudio Manager as when i switch to another plan(like, games,or music>rock or smtn from the list) it doesn't change anything.and that error appears again.the sound was way better before, and i even had that 5.1 output, which i miss...
I just upgraded my 8200 to Win 7 Enterprise. After formatting my HD, all drivers were installed automatically except the drivers for the the three programmable buttons next to the power button. Even without the driver, the mail and internet buttons work, but they cannot be reprogrammed. I have tried to download from Acers site, but they don't have a driver for 7 yet. The XP and Vista drivers did not work with Win7.
I bought my Acer 3810TG a month ago with Vista pre-installed and recently upgraded to Windows 7. The only problem now is that the brightness icon has disappeared (when I press Fn+left/right arrows), every other icon is working fine though.
Anyway when I looked in the Launch Manager folder, there's a folder called OSDRC with pictures of the icons, where I noticed the brightness icons were missing.
I've tried reinstalling Vista, sent it back to Acer, installing the newest/previous versions of Acer Launch Manager but neither helped.
Is it possible that someone whose brightness icons are working can upload them here or have another solution to get them back?
This is what I have, and I imagine HP probably use the same drivers for most of its late model laptops on windows 7 for the touch activated media button i.e. the back lit strip above the keyboard just below the LED screen that let you activate WIFI, sound. playback..etc..
I have read from several posts that windows 7 install fine on HP laptop just that the touch strip driver does not work with the factory drivers.
My computer laptop is Dell XPS L401X. The problem is that my Instant Launch Manager key and another media touch key " Realtek HD Audio Manager " aren't work, but the Windows Mobility Center touch key is work. What happens to my computer right now and i really feel bad about it. Also, i wonder what the driver name of those media touch keys.

Cinebench 10 score is 5472.
I'm not so much into gaming, but I like games like Left 4 Dead and I was able to play it with this 9600M GT with nice graphics and anti-aliasing (2x).
NEW 12-01-2009 COD 5 Bench I've made a bench of COD5 and that was quite good. I've let all the default settings but use native resolution (1366x768) Vertical Sync and AA2x. I've used FRAPS to get the frame rate and the average was around 30-35fps, the lower rates was about 18fps during multiple explosions close to 4 tanks. We still can get more fps by lowering the resolution to 1280x720, but I wanted to test with the native resolution................
Recently I developed this simple application that lets you easily configure CineDash and other buttons functions on Acer laptops. This application, ďAcer CineDash ConfigĒ, is mainly for mine purposes.
I tested it on my Acer 6935G and Windows 7 64bit version. It probably should work on other models and systems to.
Some of the features that Acer CineDash Config supports are: ē32bit and 64bit systems ēConfiguring applications to run and captions for buttons:oArcade DeluxeoEmpowering tech.oInternetoE-MailēMaking and restoring registry backup ēEnabling media keys to work with other programs, like winamp, and restoring original key mapping file
I have an acer laptop e1-571 with windows 8. the mb failed ordered a new one installed it. on boot now i get no bootable device. The bios shows the hard drive and its the first in the boot order. If i hit f12 after powering on to access boot options the 3rd choice is efi device windows boot manager. If i select that it boots normally and runs fine. is their a way to boot the machine without having to hit f12 every time and selecting efi device to boot to windows? i tried updating the bios as well.
I have a new Compaq CQ58-353EM laptop. It came with preinstalled system (Windows 8). Afterwards I installed Windows and HP updates.   The problem I have is with the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller (ethernet). In the device manager it is shown with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. In the device state it is stated: Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35).   Laptop has all system and hp updates installed.   I tried the following to resolve the problem: - 2 different bios versions (F.26 and F.25). - several add/remove/reinstall of the Realtek drivers - 2 different versions of Realtek drivers: 8.3.730.2012 and 8.20.815.2013 (from Realtek site).   Ethernet is working OK under Ubuntu.
The microphone is "active" all the time, touching the area around it and you can hear it through the speakers. Opening the Realtek device manager and the Mic is ticked in the top row of three "Speakers (ticked) Digital out (unticked) and Mic (Ticked). How do you turn it off ?
if there's any new realtek drivers for the 6920g, Ive done multiple search's myself and came up with nothing
I ask because whilest playing games or just listening to music every so often (well pritty regulary actualy) the sound just becomes verry distorted and unplayable untill I restart the app/game. I have tryed to install the latest official realtek driver 2.06 (not acer's version), I now know this was'nt the smartest of moves on my part as the sound then became verry tinny witch i now know was because the normal realtek driver's dont account for the ''tuba'' in acers.
With my PC I can record streamed audio via Audacity. However I can only see the microphone as an input source for I/O inputs. I have looked at all settings and cannot find anything relevant. It seems you cannot also run the Realtek control panel presumably this is a Acer configuration.
Tried to do a restore to factory image... Got error code 0x241... Computer is hung up at Windows Boot Manager, going around in circles... Can't accomplish tasks on windows boot manager and can't get out of window...   Acer Aspire One Windows 7 OS Have recovery data on a flash drive
It came with vista installed and when i pressed the volume buttons on top of the keyboard a gray bar used to come indicating the volume...but when i installed Windows 7 the gray bar is not coming....even though the buttons function properly(that is volume goes up and down) (pressing the volume touch button increases the volume, but does not display the volume slider window on the screen)
I even installed the latest HP Quick launch buttons Windows 7 driver:
I recently bought lenovo Z50-70 with i7, 8GB ram, Nvidia 840m without operation system. I installed windows 7 64bit and all drivers for W7 from lenovo website. But i cant find : Lenovo energy manager for W7 and Lenovo ATK hotkeys for W7. Hotkeys are important because i cant see how much i turning down or up music. What should i do?
I have a problem with my laptop and it's spdif optic output. I want to connect it to my hi-fi but I am having trouble with enabling digital output. I just don't know how to do it
In my Realtek Mixer there are options only for analog outputs - no digital options at all. I use now the newest drivers, 1.70 or 1.77 - nothing. I've tried older versions, something like 1.30 and then spdif flashed red colour and I thought that it will be OK, but nope. Still no sound and no digital options in Realtek's mixer. On these new drivers (1.7x) it doesen't ever light up.
Someone here said that one cannot acutally see the LED inside blinking, well... I can see it As I told before on older drivers it's "on" all the time - althou no sound.
In the other topics I've read that one has to change default output to digital output - I see no such option, if I am just blind and retarded then someone posting a screenshot would be nice
My HP pavilion is stuck on diagnosing PC problems- attempting solution loop after initiatin the automatic pc repair.   I run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostotic and I got:   SMART Check : PASSED Long DST : FAILED   FAILURE ID : 9LG1VQ-6NP78B-MFPWXG-61AL03 PRODUCT ID : E2H36EA#AB7   As for the memory check it passed the test.   the model is HP Pavilion 15 Notebook pc running windows 8   When pressing f11 at system recovery Recovery Your PC needs to be repaired A required device isn't connected or can't be accesed.
