safari does not let me logon to "t-mobile" for my account but it lets me logon to AT&T, bank of america, NYCB,TD banking, and all other sites "WHY" does anyone else have this problem with T-mobile site ?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI installed iStat, Chrome and Safari and I noticed that Safari usually uses less cpu usage than Chrome but I can't tell for sure. When I (used to) use Chrome for pc, I never rememebered cpu usage to go as high as it did with my mbp; but the cpu in my pc was an AMD dual core @ 3.6 ghz so it's kind of hard to compare.
This kind of leads me to believe that Safari may be better for os x than Chrome but I don't know; is it?
i deleted the app and now using safari4beta and firefox instead, didn't bothered with installing it again before i know what is wrong and how to fix it, i've checked with the system monitor and safari3 was program responsible.

Usally when you start a new browser it ask you if you want to import any thing. But Safari 4 didn't. If I can't do this I will not switch, witch suck because I hear it's good.

Problems with Safari. This just started a few weeks ago. I keep having compatibility issues with my Hotmail and Safari 3.2.1 (the 4.0 is worse), I can't even open my hotmail messages 4.0. At first I thought it was MSN, so I contacted them. I'm pretty sure it's a browser issue.
It keeps inserting random question mark symbols throughout my outgoing Hotmail messages.
I've tried resetting Safari, deleting cookies... blah blah blah.... done all the updates.
It's annoying. I like Safari, and want to continue using it. I have Firefox and it works fine. Could my computer have a virus?
I have Camino too, but it won't let me put anything in the "subject line" when composing a new hotmail message. Very annoying.
Scrolling on a media heavy page (like NYT.com) causes stutters with FF3.5RC2 so I gave Safari a try. Fast? Yes. No scrolling problems and loads faster. However I get beachballed randomly. Was just browsing Headfi.org and it died twice and have to force quit.

Though, as soon as I could I changed the address bar so that it used the original blue progress indicator instead of the stupid spinner. That was a mistake, IMO, getting rid of the blue progress indicator. Thankfully you can edit the preferences file to get it back.

I've been having major problems browsing the internet lately. Safari won't stay open for more than 2 minutes without crashing and Firefox will half the time not format web pages correctly. For example, as I'm typing this in FF right now, in my tool bar up above this text box I have the boxes with bold, italics and underline options showing, but I can't select them. Even worse, the rest of where boxes should be just have text, for example it says Align Left, Align Center and Align Right instead of having selectable boxes. What is up with my browsers?

What is going on here and would Chrome resolve these issues? Yes I know I could try out Chrome for myself but I alone am not a good enough sample size for the question I'm asking.
At any rate, why does Firefox handle flash much better than Safari on OS X?

I specifically told Safari to save them on the desktop but they don't appear at all, nil result comes up while searching for them.
I was thinking about the privacy issues today when one syncs their private contact details with Mobile Me Seems like one places a copy of all their private stuff on their server. So if you have bank details or any other private stuff all that is now available for others to see (If needed of course).

When using Safari it asks for me to use the login keychain every few pages. This confuses me as I never set it up in the first place. Also it asks for me to use the login keychain everytime I launch Skype which is a pain in the . The only cause of this I can think of is that my IT department at college thought it would be clever to set up a login keychain before they handed my Macbook over to me and not tell me the password. I've tried my main password to log into my Macbook and its keeps saying the password is invalid. not a massive problem but still would like to get to the bottom of it.

All of a sudden when logging on the laptop will hit a black screen and just hang there. You can move the mouse pointer, but the hdd will just sit churning.
Things like control panel uninstall programs, device manager can churn forever with no actual progress or won't even open.
Laptop also won't shut down past the "logging off" screen.
what I can do (before I go for a reinstall).
I'm having a problem with software from Dell - Wave Embassy

Like a year a ago I set a password and a fingerprints on BIOS - during startup
Now I want to set also a fingerprint during windows login .....
I have vista x64 on my vaio sz6 laptop and was thinking about the great Windows XP classic logon screen(press ctrl+alt+delete to logon and how it had empty boxes to enter user name and password). I was able to get this working properly on 1/2 computers w/ vista but i have small issues on the laptop. heres what i did:
(this particular method only works for vista business/ultimate users..there are other ways though w/ regedit)

The 2 problems only on the laptop are:
1) ctrl +alt + delete will only work 1 time before the welcome screen
2) on the vista welcome screen...it shows me the box that says Please swipe your finger to login(upek) AND it gives the name "Other user", which isnt an user account that ive made. (phantom account) If i click on "Other User"..it then gives me the empty boxes to enter user name and password. where is this "Other User" coming from?? ive even tried logging in with "Other User" w/o a password and of course it says failed to logon.
I think the upek fingerprint software(v5.8, etc) or tpm v3.0.2.2 software is causing this issue because they are the only difference between my laptop and my desktop. my desktop works perfect just w/ doing whats above. (Ex. says ctrl + alt + delete to log on every time and also 2 blank fields w/ user name and password.)
I just received a new HP EliteBook 840 G1 and i'm trying to use the biometric finger print device. I'm on win8 x64, Ive installed the drivers:
Validity FingerPrint Sensor Driver 4.5.133.0
Installed HP simplepass 6.0.100.276
But the i can't enable the windows logon, it keeps telling me my password is wrong (which is not true)...And the biometric reader is not recognized in the control panel...
