I was just streaming this 500+MB video of Starcraft II off their website, and I was wondering:
Since the video is completely streamed, that means its downloaded, right?
Where would I find the file on my HDD?
I wouldn't want to have to download the whole 500+MB again.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI installed iStat, Chrome and Safari and I noticed that Safari usually uses less cpu usage than Chrome but I can't tell for sure. When I (used to) use Chrome for pc, I never rememebered cpu usage to go as high as it did with my mbp; but the cpu in my pc was an AMD dual core @ 3.6 ghz so it's kind of hard to compare.
This kind of leads me to believe that Safari may be better for os x than Chrome but I don't know; is it?
i deleted the app and now using safari4beta and firefox instead, didn't bothered with installing it again before i know what is wrong and how to fix it, i've checked with the system monitor and safari3 was program responsible.

Problems with Safari. This just started a few weeks ago. I keep having compatibility issues with my Hotmail and Safari 3.2.1 (the 4.0 is worse), I can't even open my hotmail messages 4.0. At first I thought it was MSN, so I contacted them. I'm pretty sure it's a browser issue.
It keeps inserting random question mark symbols throughout my outgoing Hotmail messages.
I've tried resetting Safari, deleting cookies... blah blah blah.... done all the updates.
It's annoying. I like Safari, and want to continue using it. I have Firefox and it works fine. Could my computer have a virus?
I have Camino too, but it won't let me put anything in the "subject line" when composing a new hotmail message. Very annoying.

Though, as soon as I could I changed the address bar so that it used the original blue progress indicator instead of the stupid spinner. That was a mistake, IMO, getting rid of the blue progress indicator. Thankfully you can edit the preferences file to get it back.

Safari won't stay open for more than 2 minutes without crashing and Firefox will half the time not format web pages correctly. For example, as I'm typing this in FF right now, in my tool bar up above this text box I have the boxes with bold, italics and underline options showing, but I can't select them. Even worse, the rest of where boxes should be just have text, for example it says Align Left, Align Center and Align Right instead of having selectable boxes. What is up with my browsers?

I specifically told Safari to save them on the desktop but they don't appear at all, nil result comes up while searching for them.
I tried to go to iMovie tonight to edit some videos, but when I went to import the video, it wouldn't import them. All it did was say "importing video," then it would say "processing video," and then just quit. It only attempts to import a video for about 15 seconds, then stops.
This is iMovie 08 from the iLife 08 suite.

2. Two-fingered scrolling on the touchpad speeds up playback without changing pitch, but as soon as I lift my fingers, 1.0x playback resumes.

I've noticed lately that embedded YouTube videos aren't working in Mobile Safari. Now, I know that the iPhone doesn't have flash, but there is an embedded video player that works with mpg videos (HTML5 sites seem to work fine) as well as YouTube. That way you can just click the video in a website and it will open up the standard video player. But none of those work for me on the iPhone.
I also know that not all YouTube videos are properly encoded for the iPhone. But these are videos that work fine in the YouTube app, their thumbnail just won't load in Mobile Safari for me to click. I get the gray box with the line through the play button instead. What's worse, is there are now sites where this happens that I know for a fact used to work fine. But now I can't get a single embedded YouTube video to work on my iPhone. Is anyone else having this problem? Maybe you could go to a site on your iPhone where the embedded video does work and I can check to show you the problem.

Is there any way that when i click clear downloads in the safari downloads window that the actual downloads will be deleted to. Like in firefox if you remove the downloads from the dl window it will remove the actual dl from wherever your default dl folder is.

When using Safari it asks for me to use the login keychain every few pages. This confuses me as I never set it up in the first place. Also it asks for me to use the login keychain everytime I launch Skype which is a pain in the . The only cause of this I can think of is that my IT department at college thought it would be clever to set up a login keychain before they handed my Macbook over to me and not tell me the password. I've tried my main password to log into my Macbook and its keeps saying the password is invalid. not a massive problem but still would like to get to the bottom of it.
