I was looking at ordering a new LCD back top cover like this: http://www.parts-people.com/index.ph...n=item&id=4240
Is it a time-consuming process or difficult?
I need to know if I can change the color an Inspiron 6400 (gray to black), using the plastic pieces of a vostro 1000 (black). I think they are the same.
If is possible, i need to know if I just need these parts:
- Dell Vostro 1000 Palmrest and Touchpad DX354 (BLACK)
- Dell Vostro 1000 15.4" LCD Front Bezel Trim PM606 (BLACK)
- Dell Vostro 1000 15.4" LCD Back Cover KT786 (BLACK)
- Dell Vostro 1000 Power Button Hinge Cover HX873 (BLACK)
i have your good color setting for your monitor? I cant seem to properly calibrate mine....
I could use a color profile too. Laptop is used for internet, photoshop, 3d modelling and watching somemovies.
I am thinking about getting FW390 CTO. How does regular font look like on FW390 with XBRITE-FullHD 1920x1080? If you use Word or Excel in this resolution does it look too small?
I currently use 22" with 1680x1050 resolution and font looks good to me. I cannot imagine fonts on 16" with 1920x1080 resolution.
When I am in email, and typing along, the font size displayed will change while I am typing. It will get really big or really small and acts like it has a mind of it's own. It only happens when I am typing emails, and happens in both Yahoo and Gmail.
It just happened again when I am typing this question, so it appears to be if I am in the internet. It does not happen in a word document.
Is there a way to stop this from happening? Am I hitting some speed-key combinations and just don't know it?
had a Dell 1735..screen resolution was perfect and webpages i visited looked nice and sharp etc...purchased a new Dell studio 1737 laptop and it seems that the default setting is 1920 x 1200..this makes everything very sharp but to small to work with...the correct setting for the correct size etc...seems to be 1440 x 900..but when i change the settings to this size everything is the correct size but not as sharp...and websites i visit such as Facebook etc..the text on these pages seems different..now, when I place my old Dell studio 1735 beside my new Dell studio 1737 my old laptop which is set at 1440 x 900..my old laptop looks far sharper and superior to my new laptop! My old 1735 has the highest setting for resolution at 1440 x 900 while the new 1737 seems to have a higher setting option of 1920 x 1200. Is there a big difference between the 1735 and 1737? Am I stuck with just keeping my setting on my new 1737 at 1440 x 900 and putting up with the blurriness etc? Have tried everything from going into Catalyst center to adjusting settings in appearance in vista etc..

how to change the screen resolution but, it won't stay at recommended resolution when I restart my laptop, it keeps going back too the smallest resolution. I have to go and change the resolution every time I turn it back on.
My audio is not working and I did a restore point and that did not work. I also checked for the windows update mentioned and did not see that this was installed so I don't think that is the problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI know this is a rather odd question but i'm really weird when it comes to colors and what looks better. I can't decide what fits better on the sony vaio FW between the titanium gray or black.
*Black makes the outside layer of the laptop blend as the top and bottom are black(inside would be silver with black keys).
*Titanium gray has pretty much all that you can see(exluding the bottom of course and keyboards) titanium silverish giving it that blend.
I DON'T KNOW SO VOTE FOR ME.
This is serious, i can't make a purchase on the new sony vaio until i figure out the color T_T
I'm about to buy a Vaio Z CTO from sony style and wondering which color you guys think is best. My initial thoughts were to go with the silver since the black keys seemed to stand out really nicely. Also, my last gen Z was Prem.Carbon Fiber Black, so Silver would be a nice change..
View 10 Replies View Relatedthis is my first time posting, and i have a question.
i've heard that later on there will be different color lids for the sxps 13 and 16.
i understand that this is both a studio and an xps, so it makes me wonder if i can have cool designs on the top. i don't know how thats gonna fly with the leather, because black is the only color that i can think of that would go with it.
so heres my question: do you think that dell will release custom, or at least different colors for the sxps? possibly midnight blue, the RED one, white, brown, green. anything. and if you do, when do you think they will release the new options?
Regatta blue? (My Favorite) Regal Red? I know a few people on here have blue but i was just wondering how widespread the color choices are among NBR members?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi just find that at "display properties" there is no color profiles..
Usually when we installs a screen, the icm or icc profiles comes with the driver.
My laptop has an Samsung 15.4 screen ... LTN154X3-L01
Is there any way to get an "color profile" for it?
i will say that "color profile" is useful for 2D graphics,
screens - scanners - digital cameras - software " Photoshop", uses this profiles as an way to preserve and display correctly the color tones on your screen.
someone would have developed an ICC color profile for the AW model that uses the X-Brite Technology Screen. I have the cheaper LCD version and not the high dollar RGB Professional model screen.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have the new, or a new, HP dv7-1240us. THE KEYBOARD COLOR SUCKS! I cannot see the letters or numbers due to the reflectivity of the keys and poor choice of label color. Is there a way to replace this, well I know there is, I need to know where and how to get a hold of a new keyboard assembly for an Onyx colored laptop. Somebody shoulda laid off the wacky weed when coming up with this color scheme for the keyboard.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwe all know the screens on the dv7's with nvidia cards come out of the box looking very washed out. i know the gammas are way too high. does anyone have IDEAL settings which make the screen look it's best? mine seem ok with the tweaks i've done, but the screen still looks so much worse than on my external lcd.
here are my settings:
brightness: 50
digital vibrance: 12
contrast: 57
gamma: 15
i know this is specifically a problem for the nvidia machines, as the dv5 i had for a short time looked fine out of the box with it's intel gma4500.
Which color to choose ?
Black matte or pacific blue?
Which one doesn't scratch a lot ?
I'm planning to buy inspiron 1545 next week.
