My hp pavilion dv6 letter p prints continuously ppppppppp? A tech is going to replace an item in the keyboard today. I'll let you know if it works. He has already rebooted my laptop which did not work and probably did not need to be done at all. My laptop is only a little more than a year old and my warranty is no more.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an HP g6-1325sa had an issue that had to replace the fan. However since then nothing will appear on the screen F12 has an orange light on and the caps lock continuously flashes every 2-3 seconds. This is not a blink code it does this continuously.So far i have tried blocking the vents and leaving the laptop running for over an hour as I heard it can be caused by dry solder joints.
I have also tried replacing the motherboard and have twice managed to get a cursor flashing on the screen however niether of these times could a normal boot happen as the HDD was disconnected on both of these occassions, the first time this happened i had just disconnected power and battery and held down power for 30 seconds, i'm guessing that was a cmos reset.
The only cause i can think of is that the processor was cooked when the fan was replaced but having already paid for another motherboard i'd like someone to confirm what it means when the caps lock blinks endlessly and if there is another way to repair it.
I was about to do a factory restore on my computer later in the day, but i was unlucky that the computer stopped working When i turn it on it continuously beeps and won`t turn on, i have picked the option to `start windows normally` and even the option that checks/diagnoses the files (to fix the problem not letting me startup) but when it says `loading files` it starts beeping again and the process stops..
I also read that it `could` be a problem with the RAM, but maybe that was for a different problem or so, but if it is a problem with the RAM, then how can i fix it?
I have an HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15 (Model: 15-b022es) in which i'm tryig to install Linux. Since the day I bought it, I've been unable to boot anything directly through USB. I've searched a lot on this topic, and the usual causes are Boot devices order, Secure boot or Legacy Support options. That is certainly not the case, since I have tried all possible combinations. In fact, the exact symptoms that my laptop exhibits aren't described anywhere I've found. This being:
If I insert an USB drive in any port of the laptop, it renders the computer completely unable to boot. It's not that it freezes, it restarts again and again, but never goes beyound a black screen and making some HDD sounds (usual boot up sounds, nothing weird). Within this state, with the USB still inserted, I can access the BIOS configuration by pressing F10, but can not access boot devices menu (usually available at F9), because pressing F9 will just cause a new reboot.
In the past I accessed the boot menu by not inserting any USB and then pressing F9, then I entered the USB, entered and left some random folder to force refresh the display (and so show the USB), and finally selected my USB. This is a bit hacky, and I can no longer apply this solution, since my HDD is completely erased now and there is no folder I can enter to refresh the screen and display the usb drive.
Now the thing is: I can't manage to install any operating system back into my laptop if I can't boot from USB, so how can I do that? Right now all I get are continuous resets of the machine before even getting to the boot menu. And what is the cause for all those reset?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a user with a v515 printer connected by USB cable to a Latitude 5530 laptop. He's running Windows 7 32-bit.
His printer will print one document, and that comes out fine, but it won't print anything else until he reboots the computer. The second document goes into the queue and says "printing" but nothing happens. I tried restarting the print spooler, uninstalling and reinstalling the software and updating the firmware but nothing has worked.
On my Dell XPS 14z laptop, on certain websites when I go to type it comes out numbers going in numerical order. So if I type out 'Hello there' it would be 01234 56789 and the numbers would restart again from zero. This only happens on some websites such as Tinychat. On others like Facebook it's fine and types normally. I've already tried restarting my computer, and I don't see a num lock key.

Some of them discussions said to go into the E: folder and delete files which should be there (can't access it the folder -- there's only a warning message) or to change the Drive Letter (get a message that says it cannot remove "the letter drive of your volume", and now I'm not sure what I should do next.

Everytime I go onto the internet, try to download something, try to open a new tab my Laptop will freeze, and usually it will not let me open the task manager when I press CTRL + ALT + DEL. I have run virus scans with Norton (I am still in my free 90 day trial) and no threats have been found, I have done disc defragmenter, I have scanned the computer for errors, I have performed disc clean ups and why it is still freezing. View 3 Replies View RelatedMy HP Pavilion DV6 6120us freezes during shut down. Windows looks like it goes through the shut down process and the screen goes black but the mousepad border light stays on and the wifi (f12) button goes orange. The only way to completely shut it down is to hold the power button for a few seconds. Once I start it up again, it says Windows wasn't shut down properly. After a few days of this, now the laptop battery isn't being detected.
I went into the BIOS and run the onboard memory test and hard drive test but both passed. I haven't done a reinstall of the Windows yet but with the battery issue now I am thinking it could be the motherboard but I'm hoping it's something else as it's out of warranty. I'm running Windows 7 Home SP1 64-bit edition.

I upgraded my laptop from home basic 64 bit to ultimate 64-bit then I reinstalled the windows 7 ultimate 64-bit because i want a clean windows 7 ( first upgrade was from Windows Upgrade the second one from the internet ).I always clean my laptop from dust and it never get overheated because I use cooling pad with 3 fans. I gave my friend to check my laptop he works in pc's he said that my laptop looks like new and i don't have a fan problem he suggest to Re-Install windows 7 from HP ( that came with hp products ) or do i hard rest to my hardware. My warranty fishined a month ago, and I take care of my laptop very well. I know my laptop will not get any damaged because i use cooling pads.
