Acer Aspire V3-772G :: Cannot Create Recovery Drive - Windows RE Image Can't Be Found
Oct 20, 2014I have an Aspire V3-772G. I can't create a recovery drive anymore. I ran reagentc.exe in command-prompt and it's pointing to the correct recovery location, but Windows RE is disabled and for some reason I can't reenable it.

The problem is
ati 4570 mobility by default has memory speed of 800MHz but ati catalyst on me laptop shows memry speed of 500 mhz only i tried GPU-Z it also shows defalut clock 800mhz but current 500 mhz and message that current low speed is for low power consumption.
i want to know how can i increase it back to 800 mhz and will there be any heating problems at higher memory clock...

Jan 13, 2010I bought an acer aspire 5738G a couple of days ago with windows 7 x64 installed ,catalyst 9.9. When playing any game or using any 3D demanding application both my GPU temp. jumps up to 85-95 degrees C, and the CPU to 75-85 degrees C. according to GPU-Z my fan speed is always at 30% no matter how hot the lappy gets. I also wanna mention I didn't OC or use any modded stuff yet.
My questions are:
-Are these normal temps since this is my first acer and my previous lappy which wasn't an acer with a Nvidia Geforce GO7900 never got past the 75 degrees barrier
- Is there something wrong with the fan or it is supposed to kick in only at critical heat point

Nov 8, 2009When I power on, after about 5-6 minutes the fan (I assume the CPU fan) kicks in. However, it then seems to remain on constantly until the laptop is turned off, even if I'm only idling. This is slightly annoying, not just because of the noise, but also it seems to have quite a noticeable effect on the battery life.
I have installed SpeedFan to keep track of the CPU temp and it seems that the fan kicks in initally when the core temps reach about 35 C, but then the fan does not switch off, even when temps drop back down to 25/26 C, which seems very cool.
On every other laptop I have used (none of which were Acers), the CPU fan only comes on now and again, as and when it is needed.
So, is this normal behaviour or is there possibly a fault with the fan control mechanism ? If so I will consider taking back to the retailer for an exchange.

Mar 15, 2010my laptop overheating problems ever since I bought it, I almost tried everything ..... but alas nothing worked the final straw im hanging on is to downgrade my bios to the utterly old version 1.13 which is the last known stable & heat friendly version which is not on Acer website anymore .... May 5, 2010I bought my Acer Aspire 5738G laptop last november and this month I experienced for the first time my laptop shutting down by itself while playing cs-source.
The laptop is quite hot and upon searching the net found out that it's most likely due to overheating.
My question is about the ventilation at the bottom of 5738G.
Is it supposedly closed? No holes/slots? Cause I think it's the cause of overheating.
The system doesn't have a way to take-in air
It's like it was designed to be a bottom vent for air intake but then forgot to make holes in it.
I also searched for it's manual and confirmed that it is a ventilation slot.
It even says there "do not cover or obstruct the opening of the fan".
(I've got a screen shot attached. I'm talking about part 6. That part of my laptop doesn't have holes/slots but clearly there should be according to the manual.
Acer :: Inactive 4500MHD Inside The Aspire 5738G
Apr 28, 2010I have bought the Aspire 5738G over half a year ago and it was just a couple of days back from now, when Everest showed me a hardware report about an integrated Intel 4500MHD onboard, which is inactive.
I couldn't find any info on this matter online, so I thought that with your help and my readiness to disassemble my laptop, we could figure out a way to make use of this integrated chip, which would result in serious power savings when running on battery.
I am thinking that maybe there is some place in the circuitry that was cut in order to disable the chip or something, or that it has no access to the LCD and HDMI ports.
Also, I downloaded a Service Manual for my model and I couldn't find my 5738G specification in it.

Jan 1, 2015My original hard drive of Acer aspire 5738G crashed and I bought a new 1 TB WD hard drive. I tried to reinstall Windows 7 from recovery disk. All data copy and system restoration (from 3 restoration disks) completed successfully. But after the auto reboot, during “Setup is applying system settings” stage I encountered error message “Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run this computer’s hardware”. I tried reinstalling the OS multiple times but every time I am getting the same error. Before replacing my hard drive, I was using Windows 7 Home Premium OEM version and now I was trying to restore the same in my system.

Acer :: Acer 6920 - No Audio Output Device Found
Apr 7, 2010I had vista installed on my laptop, Acer 6920, (first OS) and it was direct from factory so everything worked fine. I then installed ubuntu and everything still worked fine. I then deinstalled both of those to put on windows 7 RC where all my hardware was working perfectly (minus the fingerprint reader but i honestly couldnt care about that thing) so my computer eventually got pretty bogged down with crap to the point where boot was about 30 minutes. during this whole time my sound seemed to work, but near the end windows stopped finding any internal sound related hardware (the speakers and the mic). For other reasons i did a clean reformat (3 times) and reinstalled 7 Professional 32 bit and when i booted i downloaded all the drivers and everything seemed to install correctly, but when i rebooted the sound still didnt work nor did the mic. the exact error message windows is giving me is "No Audio Output Device found" however when i plug in a headset or a bluetooth adapter + headphones there is audio and it works perfectly. I really need sound to work as some programs crash if they dont detect a sound output and also for monitoring audio recordings.
I have tried installing all of Realtek's drivers. Literally all of them. None of them worked what so ever despite clean installs and deinstalls.
I now am running 64bit and ive almost given up on this problem. I bearly saved this computer and i dont wanna have to buy a new because of sucha stupid issue like this.

Under the hardware manager in windows there is no tree for sound devices. there was an unknown component which i put forceware on as i thought it was the sound device but no go.

Acer :: Crystal Eye HD Not Found In Vista And XP
Nov 29, 2008My Acer Aspire 6935 has a buit-in webcam (064e a_117 in device manager) which is perfectly running according to the device manager (no yellow mark), but still can't be found by the Acer Crystal eye software in Vista. Same problem in msn or vlc.
I've installed a multiboot with xp and same problem in xp.
I've tried using the latest driver, but it's a generic windows driver, so it's the latest one.
I've tried using a specific driver, I've found one in the Asus website. It's a driver for the 64e a_117 according to the *.inf file, and now the webcam is recognized as USB 2.0 UVC HD webcam. But still not found in msn or vlc. And still fully working according to the device manager.
yesterday, i've opened the lcd cover to unplug and replug the device physically. But nothing special, it keeps saying that it's not found.
So my question is :
What can i try now to fix this webcam ?
I forgot to say that the webcam was really working two weeks ago, and windows restore didn't help.
Acer :: No LAN Network Controller Found
Oct 9, 2008I have a strange problem on my Acer 7720G notebook (PM965 chipset).
The internal Broadcom 5787 is not detected. When I put a cable in the LAN port, no Leds are lit.
Strange enough, the UUID in the Bios has a value, which means that the Bios recognizes a LAN device.
Is there a keyboard combination that shuts down the internal LAN controller?
Acer Aspire E1-531 :: Webcam Not Found
Feb 3, 2015I am using an Acer Aspire E1-531 with Windows 7 64 bit on it. So whenever i want to use my webcam it is not found by my laptop. I tried downloading multiple drivers but none of them work (no webcam detected). Another thing is that i dont have an "Imaging Devices" section in my device manager. I've recently formatted my laptop so maybe the driver was deleted or something... I hadn't used my webcam before so i don't know if it had worked back then.

Nov 30, 2009Whenever I try to launch Acer ePowerManagement I receive the following error:

The specified module could not be found.
I have uninstalled the program, deleted the driver and re-installed the program but to no avail.
I can right-click the ePowerManagement icon in the task bar and change cpu speed and Brightness but I can not launch the utility.
I am running Windows XP Home on an Aspire 3610.
Has anyone ever experienced this error and resolved it?

Nov 28, 2008i bought a acer laptop @ bestbuy and it came with preinstall vista home. i used the computer fine and all and the internet connects to my router find and was surfing the internet. i then decided to install a fresh copy of my own vista ultimate because i dont like the preinstall stuff that they did because it just clutters up space. after i finish my install of vista ultimate, my laptop doesn't connect to the internet. i know this is simply but i dont see network adapters under the device manager in the computer management screen. i am worried because if i have to install the driver, then i would see some icons with a yellow exclamation mark, but i dont see NETWORK ADAPTERS AT ALL. i dont know how to solve this? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks all. i've tried to press scan for new hardware changes but still i dont see the network adpaters. i thought if you install vista ultimate, then it will install the wireless drivers for you too.

Dec 8, 2014I have a problem with my laptop, it won't boot up due to "Operating System Not Found", but I've used it already for several times but just yesterday it turned out that "Operating System Not Found". I've tried to check whether the hard drive is a problem and slave it to another laptop but it's still working, it will boot up well in another PC. Now I tried to insert a bootable USB drive just to reformat it for it to work again, but still it won't work. My bootable USB drive is detected and can be found in the boot options but if I select the drive for boot it still says "Operating System Not Found". Then I went searching over the net then I found something that might work like having it boot in Legacy BIOS mode, it boot up then but the problem is my display is distorted and fading, there are lines and overlapping display.
