Until recently my Aspire M3802 desktop started immediately when the start button was pressed. For about a week it's been taking an increasing number of minutes before the the LED turns blue; today it was over ten. What is the likely problem? If accumulated dust how can I remove it? If not dust, what can I do?

I have a acer aspire 7750 G with windows 8.1
When I take the laptop out of a sleep mode it goes immediately back into sleep mode. I do get the screen to enter my password but it's only there for like 2 seconds.
The second time I take it out, it works fine. Just a bit annoying that I have to do it twice pretty much 95 % of the time.
I've been having an annoying problem with my notebook's audio. Quite often, when I turn on my pc, my audio disappears after a couple of minutes. Sometimes there's no sound right from the start. The mute button stops working, because normally there's an orange light when you turn off the pc sound, well that doesn't happen anymore. Windows Media Player can only play such formats as mp4, avi etc with no sound in the background.
However, it can't open mp3 files at all (error message shows up). Videos on websites such as youtube stop playing after a few seconds (although the buffer is still running, and of course there is no sound). So basically, there's no type of audio coming from the speaker (like error sound, message sound, command sounds etc...) I tried connecting headphones and external speakers, but no luck. I updated my audio driver, but it didn't work.
Furthermore, when I launch audio test from Control Panel, an error message shows up which says "Device currently used by another application. Please close all the applications that are using the device, and retry."
My notebook is quite new. It's an "HP Pavilion 15 - e070sl"....
The number keys on the right are locked and I cant use them. When I press the numlock key it just beeps and a pad lock open and shut on the screen.
I bought this laptop especially for these number keys.
I have an Aspire 4520 laptop with Visa SP1 which will only start after the second attempt. The first try, it will get to where the little green lines run across then they stop halfway. I have to power off and start it again. It usually (but not always) takes me to a screen asking me to either Repair or Start windows normally. If I choose to repair, it does it's thing then says that the repair was unsuccessful so I've been choosing to 'Start windows normally' and its starts up ok.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my laptop (Acer Aspire 5741G).It´s a couple of years old and the battery stopped working a year back and after that I need to use the power cable.Earlier the laptop got really hot sometimes and shut itself down.I have cleaned it inside (I took the laptop apart) and also changed to a SSD drive.
After that it worked better for a while but now the same thing have happened again but there are some differences from earlier. IT´S WORSE.
1. The laptop doesn´t get hot. It´s almost cold..... I downloaded a program to see the status of the computer and from it I could read from the sensor data that the temperature is between 30-40degC (CPU usage is as low as 0-4% if I just leave it).
2. The fan starts directly when I start the computer and goes on 100% all the time (even if I don´t do anything).
3. After 3-4 minutes the laptop shut itself down. Even if I go into the BIOS at start-up and just leave it.
4. I have cleaned it again and everything but the same thing happens after I have mount it together again.
What´s wrong? Can it be the power cable (AC adapter)? But why does the fan behave like this?
When I start-up or resume from sleep my AAO often makes an extremely loud noise like the fan is trying to run but is having trouble. It almost sounds like it is revving up. It will do it two or three times then stop. It usually doesn't do it during normal use--only when I'm trying to start-up or resume.

It boots fine and the display works up to the point of "starting windows". I see the windows logo for a bit then it goes off.
If I plug into an external display it works fine. In graphics properties, the display isnt even listed (only the external display shows up).
I have an Acer Aspire 5920 Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 Processor (2 GHz, 667MHz, 2MB Cache) 3 GB Memory 160 GB Hard Drive Windows Vista Home Premium.
I bought it 4/5 weeks ago, and it has worked perfectly fine. (as it should)
Now when i turn it on after a minute or so everything will become non-responsive and it will crash,
this all started when I first purchased my laptop (Aspire V3-572G-54S6, Windows 8.1) when it was on sale for a great price in mid-August. I had heard great things about Acer, loved the specs and look, and was excited to get it. It arrived a few days later, took it out of the box and with the first start up my display was messed up. About 1/4 up the screen tear a little and the top of the screen was being duplicated at the bottom........never had that happen before so I got in touch with Acer support chat, I updated video drivers, rebooted, did a complete power drain, etc. The problem persisted so they had me send it in for servicing. I got it back from servicing just about 2 weeks ago, and it was fixed! Or at least it was until this past Wednesday when the problem returned. Now the problem only occurs when I've had it on for 30minutes to 1 hour, as it is fine on start up. The service log/sheet I got back with it said all they did was software updates, updated BIOS, and nothing hardware related.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new E1-572G laptop. Long story short, I installed Win 7 on it, and after that, Ubuntu 14.10. I had issues with bootloader, but after fiddling around with legacy/UEFI booting, secure boot, and things like that, I almost successfully configured the laptop. When I selected the ubuntu uefi bootmgr in the bios, in secure boot mode, I rebooted the laptop for what I thought the last time, but then it did not go past the Acer logo. Only combination that works is ctrl+alt+delete. If I remove the hdd, then the acer logo flashes for half a second, and a black screen appears, with a static console cursor at the left upper corner.
I searched a lot in the topic, wanted to reset the bios, but there is no jumper for this, nor can I remove the bios battery. I wanted to reflash the bios, but I could not find proper instructions on this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a v3 571G laptop core i7 with a geforce 640m video card. Is not the faster video card but can handle advance video games in medium to high. Every time I play any video games, with settings from medium to high, at the beginning the fps are around 34 to 40 but after 10 to 20 min of playing, the fps gets down to 12 to 20 specially when there is explosions and such. Is my laptop video card dying or is something else?

After 5 minuts without additional cooler it goes overheat to 100 degree and turn off instantly.
When i turn my laptop on, the cooler starting work very good, like it should work all the time when it overheating. But after few secounds its turn into passive/silent mode and doesn't work properly till overheat and turn off again.
My acer aspire 6930 would crash and then have problems starting up sometimes the blue screen would show up and sometimes i would see lines on my screen and it freezes and also sometimes it just fades away. When i try to restart it the computer wont boot but all the lights are on.

Down to about 10% RAM on the Inspiron. A friend said go to ww.crucial.com and I can buy two new RAM chips with greater capacity to replace the two original.. I am a non-techie. Can I do this? How would I install them? Is there any follow-up or issues after they are installed
